Absolute coaching disasterclass in the fourth quarter:

- Conservative play calling leading to back to back 3-and-outs

  • Not just letting Texas score as soon as they got to the 1 yd line

Edit: Also, Day inexplicably continues to gameplan around our ability to successfully make FGs

That’s how I know CFB is back!

The CFB equivalent of Giancarlo Stanton going on the injured list for the first time.

Oregon and tOSU swap coaches for the rest of the year.

How many years does a championship carry his tenure?

At OSU, one. For IU, im good for a few decades

With your flair combo, how much do you hate Lane Kiffin?

Who would replace him?

Ryan Day, when he beats the fraud allegations and returns to a comfortably room temperature seat.

What about Ryan Night? Has anyone looked into that as a possibility?

That's just the name for the official color of his beard, although I can understanding the confusion.

well that and his eyes

They'd probably go hard after Marcus Freeman. Freeman has said he is content at ND, but that could change if his alma mater comes calling.

I could see it. Only bad part is it would make Shane Gillis cry.

Edit: also, love the username, lmao

There's 10 other coaches who would run circles around CFB with the resources and roster that Day has at his disposal. No other coach does less with more.

People give far too much deference to him routinely beating all the scrub teams that you could beat if you set up an OSU fan in the booth and gave them CFB27 Ask Coach play options.

He gets out coached in nearly every big game.

Even the big games he wins, it's usually in spite of him.

Yep. His style is just to throw his dudes at the other team's dudes and hope that that they make more plays.

Even during the CFP run, they almost got beat by Texas if not for the strip-6 by Jack Sawyer. That's not elite coaching or prep, that's having a dude who can get around the edge.

They nearly let ND come back on them, who played the absolute best game they could and really ran the ball and controlled the trenches with ease. I don't need to even mention his struggles with Michigan and losing back to back games to Indiana and Miami last year.

People say "who would replace him?" like Indiana didn't hire Cignetti 3-4 years ago who turned them into national-level elite overnight. Could you imagine him with OSU's roster?

If he loses this year to UofM, the same UofM that barely *beat Western Michigan (with controversy). Then yes, the seat will be broiling. Even with one Chip, you can not have such bad losses two years in a row
