Video [Watch The Tape] Steve Sarkisian being a bit of a pain for reporters tonight. Holly Rowe obviously upset by Sark blowing off the interview... “TEXAS FIGHT, HOOKEM”

“Credit to OSU for playing great game. Our guys never gave up. Manning Lorem ipsum. Proud of our guys”.

There’s the interview you missed.

394

u/ReapYerSoul Sep 13 '26

You forgot to add the question which would have been something like, "what did it take for your team to overcome that deficit?"

Honestly, I wouldn't want to do a post-game interview because they always ask the same two to three questions just phrased differently. Come up with some better questions or just don't do those stupid interviews.

340

u/Imthemayor Auburn Tigers Sep 13 '26

"Coach, comeback. Answer?"

"Yeah, these guys this week out there at practice. And we said 'win,' all week. These guys persevere and you know what? Work hard. And when work hard, you just gotta week to week. And gameplan work hard week to week? Also day to day. When day to week hard practice, execute.

Be out there every single day and next week every single day work hard.

Hard work, work hard?

That's hard work next week."

"Thanks coach"

Just going into the interview with the intention of sounding like a stroking out AI bot would be kinda hilarious. But the only coach at any level I could see doing it is McDaniel.

I just want a coach to give word for word the same answers week in and week out.

Or give such long, incoherent, rambling answers that people argue about if it’s insanely meaningful or complete drivel.

"What can you say about Arch Manning’s poise on that final drive, especially after the way this game started?"

"You’ve talked so much about the culture you’ve built here. What does a comeback like this tell you about who this team is?"

We will never know, and that is a great tragedy.

80

u/SoftwareProBono Sep 13 '26

"That’s what you want from your quarterback. It wasn’t perfect tonight. There were some throws he’d like back and some things we’ll clean up, but when we needed him most, he was at his best. He used his legs, made some big throws, managed the moment, and never flinched. That’s growth, and I’m really proud of him."

"It says a lot about our guys. We talk all the time about toughness, about being connected, about not letting the scoreboard dictate how we play. Tonight we had every reason to fold, and we didn’t. That doesn’t happen by accident. That comes from the work these guys have put in and the belief they have in one another."

And let's not get this wrong, Holly is a solid reporter. But reporters don't run on the field after the game and shove a mic in a player's face. That's not news. What happened to journalism?

They kept making him wait. Happened at halftime too

58

u/Short_Log_7654 Texas A&M Aggies Sep 13 '26

That’s what I was thinking, they kept him up at the half interviewing OSU and he bailed and rightfully so. I’d say it’s justified for him to snub them after the game

100% fuck them for holding up. They couldn't have just tape delayed it

Holly is probably more upset at the realization that her job isn’t close to being as important as she and her colleagues think it is.

The thing with Holly Rowe is that Holly Rowe REALLY likes Holly Rowe.

Holly Rowe does what Holly Rowe does because Holly Rowe is...Holly Rowe.

I've always hates coach interviews on the field. Let them decompress but that won't get clicks I guess.

u/UnluckySh00ter Ole Miss Rebels Sep 13 '26

Coach screaming at the camera is a hell of a lot better than answering pointless questions

67

Go celebrate a job saving and season defining win with my team or stand here and give rehearsed responses to rehearsed questions? I don’t blame him for this.

some are calling holly a "legend"; come on man, she just asks the same dumb questions.. 1) how does it feel? 2) what does it say? 3) can you decsribe?
