Why did they even run a real play??? Why not punt or slow safety??

I think that was supposed to be a slow safety, but the QB got greedy and tried to run the whole game out.

Yeah but if he backpedaled instead of rolling out to the right HE WOULD have run the whole game out

I blame coaching staff for not making sure that the QB knew EXACTLY what was expected of him on the play. He looked like a dear in the headlights as soon as he took the snap.

Yeah the only goal on that play is to waste as much time as possible and stay as far away from everyone for as long as possible

Even an arm punt is acceptable if necessary (especially out of bounds)

The coaching staff may very well have told him. CJ Bailey is just a dumbass sometimes. The coach shouldn’t even need to tell him. A college quarterback should know what to do there
