Herbo making excuses for him was crazy (not that I want to pile on a kid). Missed the wide open TD on third down and that final bonk interception didn't look anywhere near on target even before the deflection.
I can't understand it. Sam is NOT a Heisman candidate, but they so want him to be. He's a smidge better than Manning, and Manning is also NOT a Heisman candidate, except for this name.
Yeah, he was completely off his game. Especially in the first half. Seemed to settle down a bit in the second half, but that overthrow on their tight end at the goal line was brutal.
Doesn't feel like there was actually a lot of good attainable options for them out there this year. I mean shit Indiana is trying to repeat with Josh Hoover at QB...
Leavitt is tough, there's no denying that. But that might be his best quality and that's not gonna get it done against the best teams that LSU will face.
If ya take away the run game and Treydez Green (sp), he suddenly isn't much of a weapon. He may get better as the season goes on and he acclimates to the timing of the offense, but right now he's still very limited.
I also got tied up watching the trenches for large parts of the game, so I can't speak to how much separation the receivers were actually getting. Regardless of the receivers though, he missed a wide open tight end standing in the end zone. That was all on him.
Does anyone know the exact origin or meaning of "hotty toddy"? The Wikipedia page clearly shows that the chant was written as "Heighty Tighty" in a newspaper that was printed 100 years ago. The heighty tighty thing seems to have originated from the Virginia Tech regiment marching band some time in the later 1800s. At any rate, over time it's come to be Hotty Toddy, so I am curious what the actual words mean to students and alumni.
For a long while, I assumed it had to do with the warm whiskey drink, hot toddy, but it's clear that it did not originate from it. That doesn't mean that students, fans, and alumni don't associate it with whiskey at all- it is the South after all. I just figured that the history of the words would be passed from some fraternity member at Ole Miss in the mid 1920's to his son who joined the same fraternity in the mid 40s, and then his son did the same in the late 60s, and so on. Don't SEC schools excel at the art of the Greek system? Each house has a "historian," no?
Legit question - in the old College Football landscape, the school would pay FCC fines for stuff like that. But, with NIL.....is Chambliss getting that bill?
Browns owner is a huge Tennessee booster and has close ties to the Manning family. No chance he doesn’t take Arch if he actually comes out this year and is on the board when the Browns pick.
The Browns basically have no choice but to take a QB with their first pick in the draft next year unless they put Taylen Green on the field and he somehow looks like the second coming.
If they don't it's going to be the most obvious and blatant tank job probably ever. Like even worse than the Colts in 2011.
No chance he is going 1.01 at his size, we just saw this with Bryce. Bryce was younger and a better QB in college, and has been average at best in the NFL. Certainly not what the Panthers were hoping for
Chambliss' biggest problem is the one he can't fix, it's his measurables
He will petition for it, I guarantee it. Such a fucked system now. Kids really really good, but let’s be real… no one should be playing college football for 6 years.
This is what was going to happen when the NIL stuff started. They'll eventually have players playing 7-10 years because of some loophole legal teams will discover.
It’s a wild race right now, I’d say Chambliss, states qb, and Toney are probably my favorites. Had to have a homer pick much like Smith(who is beyond Heisman quality without the numbers rn)
He's only started 30 games, though, and half those were in D2. Dude rode the bench for 2 seasons plus a RS and almost did it again last year until an injury.
Supposedly lane helped him get the lawyer to come back, idk if there’s as much animosity between those two specifically compared to lane vs ole Miss as a whole. May have been less emotional for him than others on the team
He is electric. I was at another game being played, allegedly, until very late, so I didn’t get to see much of LSU-OM, but the highlights of Chambliss show how electric he is. My team would not do well against him.

For such a highly emotional game, Chambliss played lights out
