LSU really tried to burn down CFB for a natty with this man as their starting QB

I was not enthused about him in the offseason, but I wanted to give him a chance. La Tech made me nervous, this confirms we need a change at qb

Yeah need to see what the backups have at this point. Proud of the team for getting back into the game though. Felt like they’d roll over and just die with the way the first half went (think they def would’ve in the BK era) so it’s progress

Yeah. I mean. did anyone expect Leavitt to be some fucking Heisman candidate/top NFL draft prospect? If you did, then that’s on you and you clearly haven’t watched Sam Leavitt play football before. He’s not Joe Burrow. He’s not Trinidad Chambliss. He’s not Arch Manning. This offense is BRAND NEW and they need to figure shit out. I think, all things considered, Leavitt really didn’t play that bad at all. He is what he is, and the offense needs to adapt around what he is.

I never expected him to be Burrow. I expected him not to fold under pressure or miss wide open receivers multiple times. Will he improve? I hope so. If he doesnt I hope to see what Clark is capable of

I mean I can’t see how you can continue to play him if you can’t rely on him to consistently complete passes to wide open men. At some point something’s got to give. I’d imagine he gets the start against A&M but wouldn’t be surprised if he gets benched if things start heading south early like they did tonight

Leavitt seems like a guy who's quick to scramble, but even then he's no Lamar. Might need to adjust that Joe Rogan-esque wellness routine of his.

Yeah I saw some good things in the second half from the team besides Leavitt. How we were still in the game with him as qb is crazy

Yeah defense played their hearts out. I thought run game was much improved second half. And I mean I’ll give it to Leavitt, he ran hard af and gave it his all. He just isn’t good enough. Has had plenty of years in college now to figure it out and the consistency throwing the ball just isn’t there. He reminds me a lot of Marcel Reed. Both guys can run like crazy but so wildly inconsistent passing that they’re simply not gonna win you big games/playoff games. Hope Kiffin sees that and makes the change
