Kiffin saw Leavitt throw for 85 yards against a 5-8 Mississippi State and thought “yeah this guy will survive in the SEC”

Leavitt truly owes so much to Tyson.

Jordan Tyson was one of ASUs all time greats

With Skattebo and Tyson I, a chubby out of shape man, could’ve looked good as QB. Always wondered how he’d do without them

So glad Tennessee said hell no to him…..  in a year when Heupel has more pressure than kiffin.  That being said, Kiffin had slim pickings.  I truly think he just figured he could get Chambliss once the playoffs were over and expected them to lose early.

tbf, Leavitt was like Lane’s 4th choice, and really the last guy available at all.

Wasn't choice #2 Sorsby?  Maybe Lane just makes poor choices.

yes. I mean. I don’t know the exact order, but Chambliss, Sorsby, and Demond Williams were the Top 3.

And at that time Chambliss was ineligible (maybe it was even after a judge had ruled in the NCAA's favor also)! Turns out even Ole Miss's lawyers beat LSU.

Ole Miss has got some lawyers, by God.

John Grisham told me so.

And I believe him.

So glad this was said, Leavitt is a skateboo, Jordan Tyson, and Tyler Loop merchant

Crazy how he has 5 INT’s this year thru 3 games. Had 3 in 7 games last year, 6 in 13 games year before… the SEC defenses may be part of whatever that total climbs to this year but he also threw 3 against Louisiana Tech last week too. Kenny’s scheme of a lot of screen passes and RPO’s really hid his faults. Well that and Jordan Tyson and Cam Skattebo.

Kiffin was rebuilding a program from the ground up
