Ik we as Iowa fans are not used to it but I will try and knock of the cobwebs to explain it. What we just watched was what I think is called... *checks notes....a four word...sorry no a forward pass. Which I guess is something the QB can do at just about any point on offense, given he has wide receivers to throw to.
Sounds like the Whittingham I remember lmao. He’s a great coach in a lot of ways but his play calling with the lead has always been so so conservative and I would argue lost us many games we should have won.
Well it seems like he was meant for us. That gut run on 3rd down when a simple slant or pitch or RPO would have certainly won the game was pure Michigan
Because if you watch football for long enough you recognize tendencies in players, namely quarterbacks, that will lose you more games than will ever win them.
I didn't watch much Michigan this year but I heard alot of shit about how bad Underwood was. He played extremely well this game and honestly he carried Michigan. Dude was just making play after play, it was nauseating to watch.
I expect to see him in the heisman conversation at the end of the year
Injury on the second to last play might've been a major factor since without it Iowa wouldnt have had a chance to draw up a play before the final snap. But yeah, lots of things could've been done better in hindsight. That's the benefit of hindsight.
Without it the game was over I think. Only 2 seconds left on the clock and they tried spiking it. Spikes take 2’seconds in college football so game would have been over
That final drive was one of the biggest "WTF" moments I've ever see in football. lmfao absolutely nothing went Michigan's way and it was freakin hilarious.
Yup. This team has played like ass all year. Stupid penalties, turnovers, questionable coaching. They dominated the game and found a way to lose. They deserve it. This is a 6-6 football team at best.
