Why is Mizzou, of all SEC teams, constantly ranked like 24/25?

Also rank Wake, you cowards

Mizzou is the eternal gatekeeper of the top 25. Beat them, and you will be granted entry to the inner sanctum. Lose and be banished to the rankless void.

The Amai Mask of college football?

Because they get passed around every year to give the conference another “ranked” win. South Carolina is similar, Kentucky too

Missouri consistently wins against unranked teams. They also consistently lose against ranked teams. So if someone has to be #25, they're basically your ideal measuring stick.

I don’t understand why this is so hard for people to understand lol

The conference records of Missouri's SEC wins this year and last year:

1-7

1-7

1-7

0-8

You can't blame people for being unimpressed when they've only beaten Kansas and last year's four SEC bottom feeders.

I wouldn’t have us ranked but it’s probably because we are top 10 in wins since 2023. More wins than any Big 12 or ACC team since then and if you truly believe that Miss St is a top 15 team then Mizzou losing on the road by a touchdown and the ball in the red zone in the last two minutes is still a decent team.

What if you don’t truly believe Miss St is a top 15 team?

Then don’t rank Mississippi St either

The voters seem to think so

Quality losses in Week 4… It all compounds the rest of the season too.

To prop up SEC strength of schedule, # of ranked wins, # of ranked teams (for the 'gauntlet' narrative they stole from PAC-12).

Wait, Miss St is a title contender surely, it’s a quality loss. /s

I’m surprised to be ranked. Our wins all looked awful.

Always Mizzou first
