Nebraska scores to go up 2 scores, stadium is absolutely rocking, they come out in a defensive alignment leaving an elite WR one on one with zero safety help, easily hit a slant and its a 75 yard TD on the first play and immediately a 1 score game again
In pressure situations, Indiana just keeps executing. In pressure situations, Nebraska was scared and hesitant and out of alignment
That’s one thing that Cignetti does like nobody else. I don’t know what kind of witchcraft confidence he instills in his team, but for the last 2 seasons, more than anything, Hoosiers excel in extreme pressure situations. I’ve watched it with Iowa. The last second toe touch to Penn State. I’ve seen it this season with northwestern and Nebraska. I’ve seen Mendoza do it against Miami. They relish and literally thrive on big moments.
This team’s secondary isn’t as good as last year, Hoover isn’t Mendoza, but the boys somehow find a way to get it done and win. That’s the common thread. I’ve never seen a time thrive by being against all odds time and time again just to walk away with a W.
