Yeah. I have to assume Nebraska fans are getting a little tired of being told they're making progress and "almost there" for like 6 years now without ever actually getting that marquee win
Hahaha, I've been hearing that since at least 2005. Nebraska has had like 3 wins against top 10 teams since then and two were against a Michigan State when they were decent.
Yeah, but also, there has been progress. I mean, maybe I'll be proven wrong if we get dismantled bu Oregon next week, but idk, it feels a little different to me. Besides, what's the point in being negative. My personal feelings aren't going to change this program either way so I may as well look on the bright side.
That's where I'm sitting. I can understand the pain of losing blocking out the light, but jesus fuck is everyone's memory so short that we don't remember the years with Scott Frost? Like can anyone remember how in-the-act-of-dying-from-dysentary levels of awful those teams were?
I hate to lose, and I mean I fucking hate to lose. I hate when it happens to me, and I hate when it happens to something I'm a fan of. But during the second half of Frost's tenure we got so bad that I stopped hating when Nebraska lost, out of apathy and that feeling of hopelessness. Like with depression, the feeling was blunted.
This season I can actually say that I hate we lost however, and that's because we have been getting better. Nebraska looks better than last year, and the year before that, etc. etc.
I legitimately could not care less. Anything that isn’t a win is a loss. None of these meant anything and pretending like this one does is just dishonest. Losses are losses
