Texas is college football’s Dallas Cowboys.

We're more falcon-sy at this point

Being compared to Nebraska is a compliment for the Falcons, Nebraska has at least won something before

Nah, crazy success in the 90s and crushing disappointment the last 25 years. Also a cowboys and husker fan, so I can confirm, we are the same. Football is pain.

Don’t forget just like the Cowboys Nebraska won 2 titles in the 70s and 3 in the 90s.

Disappointed you guys didn't win today

Part of the UT - Cowboys thing is the insane media hype train every offseason. Nebraska doesn’t have that going for them even though their history maps really well onto the Cowboys.

I think Texas has been too successful to be a Cowboys stand-in. I'd say USC fits better.

Nebraska isn't worth nearly enough

Nebraska is the Bears. Without question.

Would be a nightmare weekend for many a Longhorns/Boys fan if the Sooners hold on lmao

Can confirm

Every cowboy needs his steers

13

u/lydiamoney Texas Longhorns 7d ago

Wrong, Texas has been to a CCG in the last 30 years

13

u/seaspirit331 Texas A&M Aggies 7d ago

Sir, that title belongs to the Aggies

Gotta win something at some point to be the cowboys big guy

13

u/seaspirit331 Texas A&M Aggies 7d ago

And like the Cowboys, the last time we won anything was in the 90s.

u/LavinciBall Texas Longhorns 7d ago

But unlike the cowboys that was also the first time! (No shade to the 1939 truthists)

13

u/jimbojangles1987 Texas A&M Aggies 7d ago

No way, we are way more the Houston Texans than we are the Dallas Cowboys. I would know. I'm a fan of both and its the same every goddamn year

Best 0-4 team in the country!

u/jimbojangles1987 Texas A&M Aggies 7d ago

Sure thing Saleh

14

u/hookem1993 Texas Longhorns 7d ago

As a Texans fan, the Texans are the Aggies.

Yeah with their winning history and all

cowboys actually have a good offense

1

u/pfroo40 Iowa Hawkeyes • Notre Dame Fighting Irish 6d ago

Embarrassing

3

u/trex1490 Georgia Bulldogs • Marching Band 7d ago

I think they’re more similar to the Eagles the past 2 years. Absolutely elite roster on paper, questionable coaching, and often feel like they’re underperforming

3

u/zlaw32 Utah Utes • Chapman Panthers 7d ago

That typically describes the Cowboys more. The eagles actually get it done, even if last year was rough (they still repeated in the division)

Cowboys would be ecstatic to win as much as Texas has recently lol

Texas, like the Eagles, has been capable of making a playoff run too

u/jpa7252 Texas Longhorns 7d ago

The dallas cowboys are infinitely more mid.
