Knowing the AP, if Bama wins they will be #1, Georgia will drop to like 4th, and Texas will fall to 5th because they beat OSU and only lost a close one on the road to an SEC team. OSU drops to 6 and Indiana stays at 7, setting up for a beautiful 6-7 matchup on Saturday.
Something like that. I strangely feel like Texas will drop behind OSU even though they beat them. But yeah, all the top one-loss teams probably stay ahead of Indiana. But if the Hoosiers win next week they likely jump to at least #4 and might also jump Miami based on resume, so the ranking next week won't matter too much.
At this point I get annoyed by the AP poll, but Indiana didn’t get the #1 ranking last year until they won the Big Ten Championship, so clearly the ranking doesn’t really matter
They shouldn't have been #1 after barely beating us. They've shown weakness every single week this season outside of the very obvious cupcakes that they had no chance of losing against.
Yeah, as much as I would like that Texas loss to be a quality, #1 team loss going into December, I agree they had no business being ranked at #1. They arguably coin flipped us and Ohio State.

Thank god we can stop pretending Texas is anywhere near #1.
