This game is a coin flip every year no matter how good either team is

Hated it a few years ago, loving it today. Will hate it again in the future.

Only time I would argue it wasn’t was when Dillon Gabriel got a concussion and our best option was running a TE out of the Wildcat

I feel like it happens more often in OUs favour.

Doesn't always feel like that.

Yeah not in my lifetime anyway

Probably depends who you support. That shit Charlie Strong Texas team embarrassed the Sooners in 2015, so it goes both ways. Really just an unhinged rivalry where records don’t matter.

Was that the Case McCoy game? Best game that dude ever played.

That question proves the point Kinda. Texas beat us as huge underdog two times in three years: 2013 and 2015.

There was a year where they beat us and we got the rematch as well in the Big 12 CCG

Wasn't the Case McCoy game, it was the game where Texas ran the triple option the whole game and OU couldn't stop it. Wasn't a high scoring game but Texas would pick up like 8 yards on every play, was probably the most frustrating game I've ever watched.

OKST beating OU after OU beat Texas after Texas beat Bama a couple years ago was crazy

The RRR exists in a pocket dimension unrestricted by the bounds of normal causality. Records, expectations, talent, none of it means a damn thing in the face of the fickle whims of the football gods
