Can we stop pretending LSU is playoff caliber now

81

u/Relevant_Ad_1225 Texas Tech Red Raiders 6d ago

at this point, who in the SEC is playoff caliber outside of Georgia and Bama?

Kentucky, unironically

Just as we had all predicted…

Mizzou too

bc they beat mid lsu and bad a&m?

21

u/Orion14159 Kentucky Wildcats • Sickos 6d ago

5-1 and our only loss was to Bama, we can't help who's on our schedule but we've gone toe to toe with the big boys and held our own

agreed, y’all have been super impressive. It’s just hard for me to believe a first year head coach at Kentucky will make the CFP but anything can happen! Congrats on the win tonight

I don't know if you watched football last year, but I do recall Indiana winning the championship.

Pretty sure that was pretty hard for a lot of people to believe...and by a lot of people I mean all of the people.

not sure comparing one of the most improbable championships in the history of the sport to kentucky this year is valid but sure

u/Due_Profession3023 6d ago

Improbable? IU has won like 22 in a row

4

u/tenclubber Kentucky Wildcats • Army Black Knights 6d ago

It's the "at Kentucky" part. Because after what IU has done it doesn't matter if it's Kentucky, Kansas or whoever. You can no longer discount a program just because they don't have a long history of winning football. It don't matter anymore.

Who has Texas Tech beat?

Go pound a cow.

Houston but that wasn’t the topic and I’m not claiming that’s some massive win either

Kentucky

The Texas defense can probably get them in. That’s probably about it

u/Relevant_Ad_1225 Texas Tech Red Raiders 6d ago

idk, their schedule is brutal. Florida, Ole Miss, Miss St, Mizzou, LSU is the next 5

13

u/opinurmynd Ohio State Buckeyes 6d ago

That schedule is not looking so brutal anymore.

10

u/Relevant_Ad_1225 Texas Tech Red Raiders 6d ago

they just lost to Oklahoma lol. All 5 of those teams are better than Oklahoma

2

u/Misdirected_Colors Oklahoma State Cowboys 6d ago

Only 1, maybe 2 of those teams will be ranked by end of season

3

u/Relevant_Ad_1225 Texas Tech Red Raiders 6d ago

and they’re still all better than Oklahoma

4

u/Misdirected_Colors Oklahoma State Cowboys 6d ago

Idk man. Mateer sucks but their D and special teams are elite. They're basically crimson Iowa

16

u/daffydubs Kentucky • South Carolina 6d ago

Missouri is slept on…

12

u/Relevant_Ad_1225 Texas Tech Red Raiders 6d ago

next week against Ole Miss is massive for both programs. A must win for either program given their remaining schedules

u/PrivateCimon 6d ago

Kentucky duhh

Missouri

Kentucky and Mizzou

5

u/YoungNasteyman LSU • Mississippi State 6d ago

You and us both buddy.

18

u/WhiskeyForTheWin Notre Dame Fighting Irish 6d ago

Nope. SEC, BABY.

Now they have 2 quality losses

5

u/Squantoon Kentucky Wildcats 6d ago

And you still don't have a quality win

1

u/WhiskeyForTheWin Notre Dame Fighting Irish 6d ago

We're gonna wreck two top 10 teams. Sadly USC is ducking us

2

u/Business_Permit_3686 Houston Cougars 6d ago

Idk how anyone thought a team with a new coach and a bunch of new players would suddenly be one of the best in the country

Look who’s talking

You look in a mirror recently? If Arch had a different last name he'd be an FCS backup

9

u/RhuleAid Oregon State Beavers • Oregon Ducks 6d ago

LSU fans might actually be the biggest losers in all of sports holy shit. Take this L. And this fake ass natty yall thought Kiffin was gonna bring you.

-9

u/trydim21 LSU Tigers • Big Sky 6d ago

Its the first year. Nobody thought LSU was gonna win a Natty year one, especially with Leavitt. He was ass at ASU, no reason yo expect he would be any better here.

6

u/RhuleAid Oregon State Beavers • Oregon Ducks 6d ago

you sure about that? we can pull up the receipts

0

u/trydim21 LSU Tigers • Big Sky 6d ago

Sorry, I can't speak for everyone.. but people who live in the real world never thought.

3

u/Shadowphoenix9511 Kentucky Wildcats 6d ago

And somehow lost to a first year head coach.

Not first year at Kentucky. First year head coach at all.

0

u/trydim21 LSU Tigers • Big Sky 6d ago

And he's a damn good coach you guys got there. What's your point?

13

u/Buffalo_Springsteen Texas Longhorns 6d ago

Arch has two top 15 wins this season. Your team has beaten no one and lost to the only two teams with a pulse you've played.

"What he say fuck me for"

4

u/trydim21 LSU Tigers • Big Sky 6d ago

He's also the 107th ranked QB according to PFF... he's ass. Its fine to admit it. Your team carries him.

-11

u/Fresh_Drama_8298 LSU Tigers 6d ago

Stop deflecting, we suck but you lost to Oklahoma.

14

u/Buffalo_Springsteen Texas Longhorns 6d ago

And still have a top 5 win and another top 15 win. But congrats on beating Clemson and A&M.

5

u/ItsTimetoLANK Texas Longhorns • Paper Bag 6d ago

Just took an l to Kentucky dude.

2

u/mtheory007 LSU Tigers • Team Chaos 6d ago

Buddy that is not going to fix how dog shit what just happened was. There was a stupid ass missed call that let the last play happen I'll give that but what in the world kind of defense do you play on like that? Why even bother running the play if you're just going to be that bad? That was just so terrible. What even was that defensive scheme? Literally no one spying the quarterback who has been doing that all game long? Absolutely egregious unacceptable embarrassing

-1

u/Exact_Tumbleweed2005 6d ago

they will if you will

4

u/Buffalo_Springsteen Texas Longhorns 6d ago

Lmao Texas would be in the playoff easily if it began today. LSU is all but eliminated already.

-3

u/Exact_Tumbleweed2005 6d ago

Michigan blew the doors off this Oklahoma team...

5

u/Buffalo_Springsteen Texas Longhorns 6d ago

Michigan beat OU by 7

4

u/Buffalo_Springsteen Texas Longhorns 6d ago

Texas also has a top 5 and top 15 road win.

-1

u/trydim21 LSU Tigers • Big Sky 6d ago

Unhide your posts and comments coward!

-5

u/DarthWhoDat LSU Tigers 6d ago

Agreed 100%. But I think Texas is even worse so….
