I doubt it. Yes, Sam has left quite a bit to be desired this year, particularly in regards to turnovers, but given this season and the offseason, I’m expecting him to make a leap for next year. He won’t be the second coming of Joe Burreaux, but he’s going to be better. That should be enough.

There are guys in the Big12 and ACC who could get paid more elsewhere. I'd keep an eye on Marshall at KU and Lagway at Baylor. Pitt is starting a freshman QB today. If he performs well the second half of the season, he could make big money.

And, of course, Tulane just started Johnson yesterday. We lose our starting QB to the portal every season.
