I really don’t blame the coaching that much for this drive. We do not have a good downfield passing attack at all, it’s all checkdowns or the defense guessing run wrong. Forget when UNC knows it’s a pass situation

Honestly a better chance of Sheppard breaking off a run than Eget completing this drive on deep passes

Yeah, apart from using one of their timeouts earlier I don't hold that drive against them. The intentional grounding is what killed that drive.

However, having to drive the length of the field to score a TD is a bad position to be in in the first place, so they're responsible for their share of everything that led to us being down 17-0 and being down 24-20. As are the players. Every aspect of the team could have performed better and made sure we were never in that position in the first place.

crazy big brained that i don’t fault players for not realizing in the moment and probably takes a ton of coordination and planning but i feel like in situations where there’s pass interference on a interception and players know it’s coming back, the player with the ball should just run backwards down the field and avoid being tackled and try to milk as much time as possible while the rest of the team holds the offense. like i think they could take a good 20 seconds off of the play clock that doesn’t go back on even if they accept the PI right?

Bill had terrible, weak, frail, etc guys on defense last year and still got them to play way above their potential. This year the defense is really good.

Not sure how many top transfers or top recruits they got for defense and offense

But if better offensive talent came, then people would be saying "well, of course Bill was going to do well, he is the goat coach" when they will shit on him when he doesn't even have a decent/reliable QB these past two years
