Casual With Texas's loss to Florida, QBs from the Manning family are now 2-5 in their starts vs. the University of Florida

And both of those wins were both by Eli Manning while he was at Ole Miss. Peyton went 0-3, and now Arch is 0-2.

Florida makes no sense

No bias, they're the best team in the country and nobody should be punished for losing to them

u/oreomaster420 Oregon State Beavers 1h ago

Id go the opposite. Bad team that should disqualify teams that lose to them from P/O consideration. Same as last year.

I honestly think ole miss is the best team in the sec maybe the country when healthy. Got the best qb top 5 rb top 10 wrs

Best offense? Probably. Best team? That defense is rough.

Small sample size but looking far better through 5 quarters after the bye. Nowhere near top tier but closer to average than embarrassing

That's fair. You share a conference with UGA though. There is a reason they are number 1.

Downvoted, despite having a pretty decent performance lmao. This sub.

But we're provocative. We get the people going.

We only show up for top 10 opponents

Yeah, we’re gonna drop a piano on UGA then lose by 3 tuddies to FSU.

I think I said that about 100 times watching this game.

It’s why them and LSU are enemies. They vie for the stupid title lol

19

u/AntiDECA Florida Gators 1h ago

I really will miss the LSU vs Florida annual game. It was the definition of chaos. You never knew who would win no matter how good or bad the other was. It was a super even series too, I think it was tied at 33-33-3 until lsu had to vacate some wins.

We only beat orange Mannings not red Mannings. Don’t go to Georgia, please!

Considering the Florida teams Arch played against, pretty pathetic

6

u/AdFederal6471 1h ago

That 2024 game was a mess all around but laying it all on him feels lazy, the whole offense stalled after half. Napier finally figured out how to use his weapons and it showed. Arch has time to figure it out but two straight losses to the same program stings no matter the context

7

u/Smooth-Majudo-15 Florida Gators • Notre Dame Fighting Irish 1h ago

I’m not laying it all on him at all (the OL was the worst part of both games for Texas), but he did lose and didn’t play well against a VERY bad Gators team and a reeling Gators team. The post is about the Manning family, that’s why I mentioned Arch

3

u/O-Namazu Texas Longhorns 45m ago

Don't forget tho, Billy Napier coaching with his job on the line is better than Belichick and Saban combined lol

(zero excuse this year)

Eli for some coked up reason can beat the opponents that the rest of them can't beat.... Same thing with Tom Brady

Orange Mannings have no chance.

Red Mannings are our kryptonite though

18

u/texas2089 Florida State Seminoles • Texas Longhorns 1h ago

At least Peyton lost to good Florida teams. Arch lost to a team that went 3-8 the rest of their games and a team that got shellacked by South Carolina at home.

15

u/A-Centrifugal-Force 1h ago

Did Archie seriously never play Florida back in the day?

I still remember at the start of last season how Arch was in commercials with his dad and two uncles, and the national media anointed him a superstar before he ever earned it on the field. How's that going?

I had to look it up because I didn't believe that Archie never played UF. Indeed, UF and Ole Miss played in 1965 and then 1972. Archie was at Ole Miss from 1968-1971.

Oh so we ARE gonna beat Texas, and they're gonna fall to 6-7 because literally every team we beat somehow does that. But ya know what, fuck them, they killed the SWC AND the Big12, they deserve worse.
