Has a team ever gone from 7 to unranked in one week? I also have no clue how Texas didn’t drop to atleast like 15 after losing to Oklahoma. Clearly the OSU game was a fluke which they shoulda lost anyways.

Michigan went from 5 to unranked after the App State loss in 2007. It’s hard to do, but it’s happened

Has this sub seriously already forgotten the Penn State implosion last year lol? Literally the hardest I've ever seen a "preseason championship favorite" tank ever

You’d be correct lol

Texas was lucky to get a now established quality ohio state defense that had 8 new starters still learning how to gel together at home. I dont see them scoring the way they did in the 4th against osu if they played again today

Patricia has figured out which personnel packages are worthy. Jason Moore hardly played against Texas but he's become a very strong NT in odd fronts.

I hate saying that some games a team gives away a game instead of a team deserves a comeback, but that was pretty much the definition of our game.

Rivalry games are weird.

Didn't Michigan and Florida pull that off already this season

Theoretically they could go from #1 to unranked in a week if the AP released poll even a minute later tomorrow than they did a week ago.

Sometimes weird things happen at red river and a team has a momentary blip

Clearly not the case this year (offense has been abysmal outside of Texas St and the 4th quarter of OSU) but AP voters don't pay that close of attention

They won't be unranked

They’ll be ranked still. 19-25 imo.

But not justified. They’ll rank Florida at 12 or so.

Did you see Ohio State today? Its entirely possible Texas beats them in a rematch.

Our QB will be out for a while so yeah I'd say we'd lose to almost any team in the top 25 based on what I saw from our backup today

Sucks that he is hurt But lets be honest, yall were calling for him to be benched most of the game. And now you want to say you will lose games bc he is hurt?

Well yeah because then they got to see the backup

They would lose games with or without Sayin. Bc they are just good not great this year.

Down at halftime vs Auburn at home. Yikes. Even if you win that's a bad look considering how pathetic your schedule has been this season.

Texas benefited from OSU taking their foot off the gas and some missed throws. They took advantage for sure, but OSU lost that game as much as Texas won it.
