ESPN has Texas 45% to reach the CFP still? Brother, they have FIVE SIX! SEC games left. They are 1-2 so far. I don't even know if they're 45% to win the next game.

They’ll lose at least 2 more. Sark’s playcalling is Napier level bad and that defense—despite being really good—wears pretty quickly when they’re on the field most of the game.

a couple of quality losses will get them in though

They've already decided they're in

If we don’t get in last year, we aren’t getting in this year. Two losses to unranked teams, including Florida. Unless we win out, we aren’t getting in. Nor should we.

ESPN is going to be panicking and insisting across all of their platforms that the SEC is dominant and Texas should get in if they win out. They will also be advocating for an expanded playoff down the road

If they win out, they should probably be in. But they’re not going to win out and ESPN will still try to put them in.

A 3 loss team has no business in the discussion EoY. Unless like the next 4 best records have 2.

If they win out they should be in as much as I hate them. One more loss and they should be out

Also thought that was a bit absurd, considering the next four games are against ranked SEC teams. Unless there’s a big cluster of bad losses for 2-loss teams, is there really a 45% chance of them making it?

I do think they come out of that 4-game stretch 3-1, I just don’t think that’s enough

If Ohio State ends the season 11-1, then I think a 9-3 Texas would get in. But considering Julian Sayin is in a sling right now, I’m not even sure what Ohio State will look like by season’s end

But is there a guarantee Texas only goes 9-3? Because the way they've looked these past two weeks, I'm not convinced they won't lose at least 2 more games, maybe more.

Is there a way to bet we don't make the playoffs? I would bet my entire net worth on that.
