I’m starting to get why James Madison wants to leave the Sun Belt

To be fair, isn’t that one stat from last year’s playoffs that shows that 20% of a JMU student tuition goes to the athletics department. JMU should be a generallyundefeated G6 school every season with a budget like that.

JMU is outspent by 15 other G6 teams lmfao.

4 other sunbelt programs spend almost identical amounts.

JMUs tuition is still lower than many VA schools.

Yes this is true, and it's true that JMU significantly out spends the Sunbelt.

However... compare the overall cost of tuition for the large public universities in Virginia. UVA and VT are still way more expensive. GMU, CNU, VCU and others are also around the same cost as JMU.

No tuition goes to athletics. It’s the student fees we get dogged for, but most G6 programs have a high subsidy percentage (at least 10 worse than JMU as an absolute dollar amount).

JMU's tuition is very inexpensive compared to UVA/Tech/W&M
