What's the defender supposed to do there? Have a magic momentum stopper?

Not launch with his helmet pointed down. Any contact to the QBs helmet is a penalty. I’m glad he’s not ejected but cmon, that’s textbook.

He didn’t contact the helmet

He did contact it. Very incidentally but you can clearly see the contact.

If it’s incidental that’s irrelevant. Refs specifically said that.

Can’t go high. Can’t go low. Now you can’t go middle either.

Yeah it doesn't make it a flag, but I think it's important to be correct and you can see the contact. It's just incidental, not forcible which is the word used in the roughing definition.

Like you said, incidentally, shouldn’t be a flag

Yes of course. But the other comment is wrong and mine is right.

I'm getting downvoted for being right and correcting someone who is wrong, because the wrong comment is taking the most maximal "not a flag" position and indeed it shouldn't have been a flag. Reddit is so stupid.

It’s not about being right or wrong. It’s about owning the narrative.

It's not incidental when you lower your head, lead with shoulder, and launch yourself into the person you are tackling. That is very very intentional.
