I give our guys a lot of credit for this win. Sayin’s injury aside this was the best game the defense played and Bo, West, and the other receivers stepped up when called upon. Now we wait for Sayin’s injury status to clench or unclench.

if Sayin is out, yikes… that other kid couldn’t complete a pass. hopefully a full week of prep and not being thrown into a pressure cooker situation will help

It’s one game where a teenager has to come in cold in an absolutely raucous environment in the highest pressure moment of the game. And he still made one play on the scramble. Let’s give him some grace.

I mean first meaningful gametime against that defense, on the road, in that situation? Like it's no surprise he didn't look like CJ Stroud.

I mean IU has an elite front 7 and just absolutely did not respect him so rushed / blitzed every play. I hope he can look better with 2 weeks to prepare as QB1 for both him and the coaches, as well as playing worse defenses

Two weeks thankfully, going into a bye

Fahey is a true freshman being thrown into a real game. Have a bye week, time to prep

Fahey shouldn't be starting. We have a guy who was a 5 star talent, but Fahey is somehow getting backup starts over him.

Cause he's better lol. Recruiting rankings don't really mean much

He's better vs trash. That isn't an evaluation. There are plenty of guys that look decent vs trash, but are unplayable vs good teams.

There is no chance Ohio State is going anywhere with that 5'10 true freshmen. Buddy looked absolutely terrified and had no chance out there. Whether Sayin is a Jeremiah SMith merchant or not, they need him.

Not specific to Ohio State, very few teams have capable QB2s anymore with the transfer portal and NIL.

I mean at this point, Ohio St should just go with St. Claire. He may have gotten beaten out in practices, but if Fahey looks like that in a live game, he aint ready.

He honestly looked like if someone was pulled out of the stands and forced to play QB

We need to put Sayin and Jackson in the hyperbaric healing chamber asap

Disagree. Our secondary is not good at all

Those are the best WRs we’ll see until at least the playoff (assuming we can get there).

We played probably the best duo of receivers in the country

Calhoun got exposed twice in the 4th quarter in our nickel package. Both Jermaine and Sanchez couldn’t handle Becker, they were being cooked by him despite having safety help.

That’s more of an indictment of Arch and Sark. Jermaine got cooked last year, it’s why he’s back this year. He is a super aggressive corner and gets beat. Sanchez gave up a deep ball to Becker because he inexplicably started to drift back towards the LOS instead of staying with Becker.

They’re just not playing at the level we need them.

secondary is very good. cam calhoun isn’t, and they kept having him 1v1 marsh

It was the scheme more than anything. Playing soft coverage is just not what this team needs.

I hope Sayin and Hoover are ok. With the 124 team playoff now, I really don't care about the regular season as much, but if either of those guys miss time, I'm pretty concerned after today

Makes me feel much better about how well our defense played against them
