We lost a really good game. But I know we have truly made it now seeing all the casuals and neutrals in the gdt wanting Ohio State to win the game and saying it was being swayed for Indiana. What a beautiful time to be alive and love college football.

Actually tho, you guys are one of the big boys now

u/MichelNey2 Oregon State Beavers • SEC 2h ago

"Big boys" who are still somehow scared to play anyone with a pulse before October lol.

Cignetti already scheming up how he's going to curbstomp Devry University to offset this loss

Schedules are made years in advance

4

u/GhostOfAbydos Notre Dame Fighting Irish 2h ago

They’re cancelling P4 games years in advance

22

u/Fickle-Newspaper-445 Ohio State Buckeyes 2h ago

Meh. They need to schedule better, but the last three national champions played zero P4 team in non con play.

What are you talking about? Ohio State literally played Texas this year and last year.

2

u/Billy_Madison69 Indiana Hoosiers • Old Oaken Bucket 42m ago

And didn’t/haven’t won the national championship?

2

u/Fickle-Newspaper-445 Ohio State Buckeyes 40m ago

2023- Michigan had zero P4 teams in non con

2024- OSU had zero P4 teams in non con

2025- IU had zero P4 teams in non con

Cry about it and kiss the ring 🤣

At least you are hated for being good and not... other reasons that I cannot think of at all. No skeletons in the closet here. No no.

Right? We have haters now. And they're not just Purdue fans!

u/Imma_P0tato Ohio State Buckeyes • Ohio Bobcats 2h ago

This is going to be a new rivalry and I'm here for it. I absolutely love Cignetti.

Looking forward to hopefully many more years of our teams fighting for the top.

u/areyoukind_ Ohio State Buckeyes 1h ago

I was just saying this with a few minutes left in the game. I look forward to the OHIndianO Derby for years to come.

u/Rare-Industry-314 1h ago

I’m sorry. One win on a neutral site in almost 40 years does not make a rivalry. Was it a hard fought game against a good team? Absolutely. Rivalry? No.

It's so weird seeing Indiana game threads filled with extremely angry Georgia flairs

Congrats and welcome!

You either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain

Momma, we made it!

Purdue has fans?

12

u/Inevitable-Elk7223 Purdue Boilermakers 2h ago

Yes, we had higher attendance than IU in the 2024 season where we went 1-11 and they went to the playoffs

5

u/GnarlesB1982 2h ago

Ah yes! Reddit bringing IU and OSU fans together to hate on Purdue. This makes me smile.

3

u/RidgedLines Ohio State Buckeyes • Miami (OH) RedHawks 2h ago

Those 3 guys would be so mad at you right now

It feels so great to have haters. What a brave new world.

u/Rare-Industry-314 1h ago

That’s so cute. Enjoy it while it lasts

There are no haters. Im in Indy. Went to IU. Have family fro U of Ill, mich, mich state, and Wisconsin. No one hates IU. They fucking hate Ohio.

Yall must be talking to some sub 20 year olds, cause ohio state will always suck.

u/Kuntheman Paper Bag 2h ago

You live in a timeline where Indiana is viewed as a winner, that’s awesome

43

u/kindofblue21 Ohio State • College Football Playoff 2h ago

I had a university of Miami fan sitting next to me at the bar that I’m regular at and they said Indiana was a flash in the pan and they’ll never do anything ever again. And I countered with oh I’m curious when was the last time Miami won a national championship lol

19

u/Not_Pablo_Sanchez Ohio State Buckeyes 2h ago

Yep. You haven’t truly made it until people hate you just because you’re good. Welcome to the club!

26

u/jebei Ohio State Buckeyes • Miami (OH) RedHawks 2h ago

Perhaps we can meet again in the championship. As a Browns fan on Sunday, you guys give me hope.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here

Feels good don't it? I love the salt towards Bama.

5

u/RayWhelans Ohio State Buckeyes 2h ago

That’s actually cool as hell. Welcome king 🫡

u/affnn Iowa Hawkeyes • Sickos 2h ago

IU could win five natties in a row and I still don’t think I could cheer for OSU. Maybe - MAYBE - if there was a super late season matchup that would have an obvious effect on my team.

4

u/politicsranting Miami • George Washington 2h ago

As an acc truther, I’d have been cool if you both lost.

2

u/Akronite14 Ohio State Buckeyes • The Alliance 2h ago

A more sure sign of greatness than trophies is haters. Congrats.

2

u/BrewsWithTre Ohio State • Arizona State 1h ago

Still love yall! I think the new Indiana power house will be the fun rivalry while Michigan is still nothing but hate

2

u/SeaChocolate8678 2h ago

Sorry you're not hated more than Ohio State.

2

u/Fickle-Newspaper-445 Ohio State Buckeyes 2h ago

To be fair, I've always disliked Indiana.

5

u/OwnWalrus1752 Indiana Hoosiers 2h ago

That’s because we play each other so often. OSU wins almost every time but it’s usually chippy.

0

u/Defiant-Recording-28 1h ago

They didnt call a single DPI and there was shitload to be called.

2

u/nascarcollector32 Indiana Hoosiers 1h ago

They did it consistently for both teams so who cares

-4

u/lesher925 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 1h ago

Holy shit, the irony of an IU fan calling other people "casuals" is exactly why real football fans can't stand you. None of you had ever watched a football game before 2024, yet now you're all insufferable die hards...

4

u/fire_water_drowned Indiana • Notre Dame 1h ago

Some of us have been here since they were giving tickets out for free to get us to stop tailgating during the game. You don't know us

2

u/nascarcollector32 Indiana Hoosiers 1h ago

Exactly, we've been through the rough years and finally get to enjoy the good times and that apparently makes the whole fanbase insufferable die hards.

-3

u/lesher925 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 53m ago

I went so several IU games in the late 90s. Yes I do. Probably went to more games than the "casual" u/nascarcollector32

2

u/nascarcollector32 Indiana Hoosiers 38m ago

Lol keep replying buddy you know absolutely nothing

1

u/nascarcollector32 Indiana Hoosiers 1h ago

That's rich from a Notre Dame fan. The self righteous attitude is why us real college football fans can't stand you. The ultimate casuals

-2

u/lesher925 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 55m ago

Umm, I'm pretty much the opposite of a casual. Been a fan since '81. Been to games at Notre Dame Stadium every decade since. Stuck with them since the last championship, and all the ups, downs, and massive disappointment. Act like you've been there before... even if you haven't.

1

u/nascarcollector32 Indiana Hoosiers 39m ago

Lol I've been a fan of the losingest college football team for years. We aren't the same regardless how you try to spin it. You've never been through rough times like we have. I have been to so many games on $5 tickets because people weren't going to games. We have never had anything handed to our program just because we were once relevant 40 years ago. Our football program sucked for a long time and the true salty bitch babies of the college football fanbase world cannot handle it. Try harder and be a better person.

-2

u/lesher925 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 27m ago

Enjoy your loss. Stay humble champ.
