You win 100% of the games you don’t play or something like that.

Clearly BYU and ND are fielding the exact same teams as 2025. I can't wait to see Jeremiyah Love on the field!

Except tonight won't have half of the starters opting out like a Bowl exhibition game would and be at BYU. Bowls sadly aren't what they used to be.

(also this isn't really much of a stat)

It's fucking insane how much louder the ND whining was than BYU's and Vandy's

Tbf neither BYU or Vandy were firmly inside the "you're making the playoffs" portion of the rankings for weeks.

IMO the committee should have just said something along the lines of:

"Miami was coming off two bad losses when the early CFP rankings came out. Because of this Notre Dame was ranked higher. Since Miami won out, won out in a manner demonstrating their eliteness, and both teams have the same record; the head to head game is relevant again and the reason for the rankings flip."

That makes sense to me. Of course that ignores whether or not Oklahoma or Alabama deserved a slot but Oklahoma beat Bama and excluding Bama would have punished a team for making their CCG which is a non-starter.

The real villain here is DUKE for having the AUDACITY to beat Virginia in the ACCCG.

I know this is bait, but entirely because the CFP, which decides who gets in, has us above Miami all season. I’m not saying they should’ve, we didn’t beat Miami. Then, with neither team playing the final weekend, they swapped the teams. The fanbase felt like it was a rugpull.

The team voted on skipping a bowl and chose to do so.

No. Your team got scared afterwards becuase Notre Dame’s only losses were to 10 win teams, and instead of them growing up and facing BYU no matter if ND would have lost or not, they decided not to play, even though they couldn’t pull the Marshall card by opting out of a bowl game.

No, I’m pretty sure you won the cowardly bowl

You forfeited a bowl game though

I think it was a bad move not to play, but not playing an optional game doesn't count as a loss.
