Charlotte now has a transitive win in the B1G (Charlotte > Temple > USF > Tulane > Memphis > UNLV > Cal > Maryland)

u/bluediamondsm North Texas Mean Green • BYU Cougars 1h ago

Army should be between USF and Tulane. I love these transitive properties by the way used them once to prove why UNT was better than Texas 😭

Last year you would have had an argument straight up that you were at least close to

Tulane better be ready for us!!! (We're getting dogwalked at home)

Counting us as a Big Ten win is one of the most technical of technicalities.

This chain of events gives Charlotte so many P5 transitive wins (Cal, Maryland, BC and Pitt)

Next up is the championship

previous close losses this season, still had a bit of hope, "we were just a bit unlucky, we're still okay, 6 wins still possible"

close loss to a winless team: hopeless. all hope is gone

The Keeler era needs to end.

I need liquor.

The order of these items is not important, but prompt action is appreciated.

u/Sexy_Authy Texas A&M Aggies 1h ago

It’s so strange, he brought Sam Houston to 10 wins and I was genuinely convinced he’d revive temple football but something’s just off

Culture fit is a real thing

5

u/AideDisastrous8432 Notre Dame • Jeweled Shillelagh 1h ago

It seemed like such a natural fit though. He won an FCS title at Delaware. All of his pre-Sam Houston coaching experience was in the northeast. I just don't know if there's saving Temple football.

9

u/MaddisonoRenata Rutgers Scarlet Knights 1h ago

Sorry terrible take. Keeler has absolutely helped give this team hope.

Yes I know wins are wins and losses are losses. Today was inexcusable.

The last two seasons we have lost quite a few games by 3 or less points, including army 2x, ranked navy, toledo in OT.

There is still work to do but we were one close game last season from a bowl game, which was unthinkable under Dayton.

I believe in KC keeler and we should at minimum be patient till next season. Fire the AD though that guy fucking blows

2

u/xxrdawgxx Temple Owls • Marching Band 1h ago

His decision making is terrible, these games only look close because of garbage time, and worst of all its week 7 and he still can't decide who the starting QB should be.

Maybe Keeler can stay, but there needs to be a hard look at his staff. I remember when Temple's defense meant something, and we've gotten torn apart this season by the same plays over and over with no changes made.

2

u/dontcriticizeasthis Temple Owls • Kentucky Wildcats 59m ago

To be honest, the defense hasn't meant anything in the past 7 years

1

u/Go_birds304 1h ago

I think he's checked out

0

u/tomdawg0022 Minnesota • Delaware 39m ago

The Keeler era needs to end.

This is an institutional issue, not a Keeler issue

Honestly, if you launch Keeler you may as well just end football.

The university (and Philadelphia) doesn't give a shit about Temple football and Keeler may be your last legit hope for either of them to do so.

I think I’m good for the year, between the Toledo game and this game my blood pressure is gone

Charlotte really showed up in the fourth. Putting up 17 points when it mattered most was the difference.

NOT MISSING A BOWL GAME YET

2

u/Llamacito Temple Owls • ACC 50m ago

Temple is so pathetic. I was actually excited for this year and thought we had something to build off of last year. We are somehow worse, and get worse after each game.

I'm pretty sure I could walk on and be a starter on the defense.

3

u/Serious-Individual35 UConn Huskies 1h ago

By the laws of college football, this means Temple should drop to FCS

3

u/DickBottalico Temple Owls 1h ago

Our coach is a joke. He had two timeouts at the end of second quarter with Charlotte backed up on its own one yard line, on second down. There’s a chance at safety or a botched snap for a TD, or a penalty that stops the clock and forces a punt. There’s no reason to allow them to drain the clock when they’re just running a QB sneak.

With the score 17-3 in the Penn state game they had 4th and 1 from their own 34 in the third quarter and he punted. Then when the score is 27-3 in garbage time he’s trying to win the national championship

There are other examples of baffling, botched decisions that I just don’t understand. There’s like 19 people watching these games. Try to win.
