Another UMass heartbreaker, we win this with Pop healthy

25-18 with 4 combined FGs is a funny score

And the fact UMass missed 3 of them on top of that

And I thought Indiana’s kicker was having a bad day.

I guess Buffalo is close enough to Canada, eh?

TIL a pass that goes 3 yards forward out of the QB's hand is a backward pass.

That didn't make any sense to me, clear pass I thought and then they barely showed any replays. Refs were all over the place today, calling that late UB TD when the guy got zero feet even remotely in.

I know the shine has worn off on UMass but this still probably their best season in FBS and they were competitive in maybe 2 games all year last year. This year, Eastern Michigan is the only one they haven’t been.

Yeah it's definitely still a step forward. Need Pop back

Bowl eligibility really becoming a question for the Minutemen. They have to win 3 of their last 5 to make it.

Bowling Green, Ball State, and Akron are a combined 5-15. It’s certainly in the realm of possibility, but they’re on the road against UConn and Toledo which will be hard to win.

Yep, was just looking, those are definitely the clearest path.

I have to think they beat Akron and Ball State at home. They will at least be favorites.

Pretty clear the SEC is terrified of UMASS winning the national championship and are cheating. Only other explanation. This team should be undefeated and ranked in the top 15.

What the fuck was that replay review? That was so obviously a forward pass that I'm shocked the zebras on the field didn't blow the whistle!

Screw Pia Johnson for not pulling in that TD
Screw Morris for the shank afterwards
Screw the defense for dominating all game just to crap the bed at the very end
Screw the refs for whatever all that was at the end

Back to back heartbreak weeks for UMass😭. What a brutal end to the game

UMASS should still make a bowl game. But dang, it was fun when they were undefeated

This is a pretty devastating loss, they need all the wins they can get because the two FCS wins means they need 7 for bowl eligibility.

I know injuries aren't an excuse, but this UMass team definitely looks different when everyone is healthy. The defense is doing enough to keep up in games these past two weeks, but the offense is definitely a struggle.

Defense is FAR from blameless for this loss, that final drive in regulation was terrible, prevent prevents winning!

UMass has gotten just good enough this year to have heartbreaking losses

Well, the hype was crazy. They ambushed a bad Rutgers team and beat two FCS squads.
