Hoping to find a 17 line for Ark state and Washington. Really difficult to have much faith in Washington right now

Just buy the half point then

Buying points is generally a losing strategy. I’m just gonna monitor lines across a few sportsbooks and see if any hit 17 over the next few days.

As someone who usually will buy the point, why do you think it’s a losing strategy?

Sportsbooks generally up charge the points so you’re paying more in line value than the point is worth.

If you push at 17 instead of winning at 17.5 how is it a bad deal?

Your risk is the same for a slightly lower reward. But a win is a win...

Its a bad deal because there is literally math that says you lose more money in the long run. That being said I buy a half point from time to time hahah

I'm not trying to say you're wrong, just trying to educate myself. You have any good links explaining?

This shows nfl 2018s results buying the half point vs not buying it. I’m the long run you lose more than you would lose not buying (in the long run most of us are losing either way lol). Another way I like to think about it is if the sports books are letting you do it, it probably isn’t going to favor the bettor, it’s going to favor the casino.

I know that’s nfl not college, but I’m sure it’s the exact same
