Tuesday afternoon thread brought to you by restlessness

Finding it difficult to enjoy time off and actually relax, yet a day off is a day off still I guess and a net positive

Been staying pretty close to home since Labor Day in Charleston.

It's been nice and getting back into the gym with less travel time which is nice. Have thought about leaf peeping soon since I meant to stay in West Virginia last year which ended up being a mess. But this time was thinking about booking the hotel room early.

It's this funny time of year where like could go to the beach and think it's summer or could go to the mountains and think it's fall.

I feel this so much. My brain just won't shut off even when I'm supposed to be relaxing. Sometimes I think the anticipation of time off is better than the time off itself, you know? At least you're getting to the gym though, that's more than I've managed lately.

I think the key is novel experiences because your brain won't remember what happens if you've done it so many times. Do something new

I really enjoy a long recumbent bike ride while watching football. I hadn't biked for awhile but did 7 miles in like and hour with some arm stuff mixed in.

At the end of two seasons ago literally was doing 20 miles.

With YouTube TV on my phone and a few games on TV's in front of me it's a good time.

I feel you on that, the difficulty actually relaxing and recharging.

Hope you find a little bit of chill, brother.
