🗣 Opinion So much for democracy

/r/MapBasedPolls/comments/1wy2s4v/would_you_ban_a_farright_extremist_party_in_your/?share_id=h7GkknAoYCk6c09ZBrEwF&utm_content=1&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1

They call the CPC “far-right” and only want Carney simps (aka moderates, red Tories, etc. like Doug Ford) to be the only “conservatives” allowed. Canada is a Controlled “democracy”. They would even accept Canada being a liberal one-party state if it means keeping the CPC out of power forever.

Maybe I'm missing something, but where did they call the CPC far right as you suggest?

“Far right” is the key word here. I suspect that everyone would want to ban a true far-right party because much of their platform would be illegal.

Canada is a “liberal” country (small “l”) that values freedom for all - so any party that supports restrictions on that freedom for all is always going to have a tough time.

“For all” is the important piece here. The majority of Canadians do not think that straight-white-blue collar-males who subscribe to some version of the Christian myth are superior - or even that their “culture” is superior. Which is the flaw in most right leaning parties today.
