Weekly main Thread Weekly Thread 08/31/2026- 09/06/2026

Good morning, snarkers!

Well, the Fraudmans have once again blessed us with a week of content that nobody asked for but apparently everybody needed to discuss.

Megan and Joel spent the week doing what they do best:

Posting shit publicly and then acting personally victimized when people have opinions about it.

It's truly a gift.

So grab your coffee, pour yourself something stronger if you're Joel, and let's review another week of:

“We Don't Care What You Think!”

followed immediately by:

“BUT HERE'S A 12-PARAGRAPH RESPONSE TO WHAT YOU THINK.”

JOEL'S EMAIL MELTDOWN: SIR, IT WAS AN EMAIL

And then came one of the week's biggest Fraudman tantrums:

THE EMAIL RESPONSE.

Someone apparently responded to Joel's email about his precious bowls...

And instead of simply thinking:

“Eh, they don't like it.”

Joel apparently took that shit PERSONALLY.

Sir.

IT WAS AN EMAIL.

Not a congressional hearing.

Not a restraining order.

Not a handwritten letter delivered by horse.

Someone typed words into an email box and hit SEND.

And Joel apparently reacted like the United Nations had convened specifically to discuss his cookbook.

The funniest part is that Joel supposedly sent the marketing email in the first place.

So let's review:

Joel: emails people.

Person: “I don't want this.”

Joel:

Person: “Okay?”

Joel: “LET ME EXPLAIN SOMETHING.”

THIS IS WHY THE INTERNET LOVES YOU, JOEL.

You can't just let a person dislike your product.

You have to enter the chat wearing your imaginary Karen badge and demand accountability.

KAREN FREEMAN HAS ENTERED THE BUILDING.

And apparently the response turned into the usual Fraudman formula:

“We're successful.”

“You're a hater.”

“You don't know the whole story.”

“We've ignored this for years.”

“People need to take accountability.”

Sir...

THE PERSON JUST DIDN'T LIKE YOUR BOWL EMAIL.

Imagine ordering nothing at a restaurant and the chef coming out of the kitchen:

“I'M GOING TO NEED YOU TO TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARD MY SOUP.”

Nobody asked for soup, Joel.

THAT'S THE PROBLEM.

And this is where Joel's whole “I don't care what people think” persona gets hilarious.

Because a person who genuinely doesn't care would simply:

Delete.

Block.

Move on.

Instead we apparently got:

“Dear Hater,

I have prepared a 17-point response explaining why your email response is unacceptable.”

Joel, buddy...

If an email response can send you into a full emotional spiral, perhaps email marketing isn't the business venture for you.

Because customers are going to have opinions.

Some will love the bowls.

Some will hate the bowls.

Some will wonder why they're receiving the bowls.

And some will simply hit:

UNSUBSCRIBE.

That button exists for a reason.

You don't have to personally escort every person to it while giving them a TED Talk.

But hey...

At least Joel has finally found something he's better at than making bowls:

MELTDOWNS ABOUT PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE HIS BOWLS.

And honestly?

That's the content we actually came for.

I'M SORRY, BUT “JOEL'S BOWLS” STILL SOUNDS LIKE “JOEL'S BOWELS”

And once Reddit noticed this...

There was no going back.

Joel's Bowls.

Say it faster.

Exactly.

Joel wanted a wholesome food brand.

Reddit gave him gastrointestinal branding.

Somewhere in a marketing meeting:

Joel: “I want it to sound clean and healthy.”

Reddit:

“JOEL'S BOWELS.”

Congratulations, sir.

You have created a cookbook that sounds like a medical emergency.

THE JOEL FREEMAN COMPLETE LIFESTYLE SYSTEM

Eat bowls.

Lift weights.

Drink whiskey.

Take selfies.

Complain about Reddit.

Repeat.

At this point, the mystery isn't what's next.

The mystery is:

HOW MUCH CAN ONE MAN SELL BEFORE HE RUNS OUT OF THINGS TO SELL?

THE FOLLOWERS ARE LEAVING FASTER THAN PEOPLE LEAVE THE FRAUDMAN NEWSLETTER

The weekly follower-count discussion was brutal.

Apparently the numbers continue to slide.

And honestly, I think the followers are staging an intervention.

“Guys, we need to talk.”

Joel:

“About what?”

Followers:

“We're leaving.”

Joel:

“But why?”

Followers:

“We've seen the bowls.”

The funniest part is watching an influencer desperately maintain the appearance of having a huge, thriving audience while the engagement is giving:

“Mom and Dad liked my post.”

At this point, the follower count isn't declining.

It's evacuating.

MEGAN'S FILTERS ARE DOING MORE WORK THAN JOEL

Then we got the usual photo-editing debate.

Commenters noticed strange distortions and immediately started asking questions.

And Megan's apparent relationship with filters continues to be one of the longest-running love stories on Instagram.

“I don't use filters.”

Her photo:

NASA: “What the fuck is happening to the laws of physics?”

At this point, Photoshop deserves a paycheck.

That software is working overtime.

Megan:

“No filter.”

Photoshop:

“Don't drag me into this.”

JOEL'S FITNESS BRAND HAS A WHISKEY PROBLEM

Joel continued his whiskey/lifestyle content.

And Reddit was basically:

“Again?”

Again.

Nobody is saying he can't drink.

But when your public persona is supposed to be fitness and wellness and half your content starts looking like:

“Here's what I'm drinking tonight...”

people are naturally going to notice.

At this point Joel's nutrition pyramid is:

 Protein

 Bowls

 Weights

 Whiskey

 Complaining about Reddit

A balanced lifestyle.

 JOEL'S “I DON'T CARE” TOUR

Joel's greatest accomplishment this week might have been continuing the timeless tradition of:

“I DON'T CARE WHAT REDDIT THINKS.”

while somehow making Reddit the unofficial co-star of his content.

Sir.

If Reddit really didn't matter...

WHY ARE WE ALWAYS IN THE CONVERSATION?

You don't care.

We know.

You don't care so much that you're going to tell us again tomorrow.

And the next day.

And next week.

And probably in the next email.

“Hi friends! I don't care what Reddit thinks. Here's my bowl.”

 THIS WEEK'S FRAUDMAN AWARDS

 Best Career Pivot:

Joel Freeman, Bowl Influencer.

 Worst Accidental Branding:

Joel's Bowls/Bowels.

 Best Prediction:

Megan the victim

 Most Consistent Exit:

Joel's followers.

 Hardest Working Employee:

Megan's alleged filter.

 Most Self-Centered Motherhood Moment:

“My kids are playing a tournament I am going to do my make up in my closet

 Most Confusing Fitness Accessory:

Joel's whiskey glass.

 Most Mysterious Mystery:

“What exactly is next?”

 Most Dangerous Enemy:

The screenshot.

 FINAL ROAST

August 24–30 proved once again that Megan and Joel are truly the gift that keeps on giving.

They post.

Reddit watches.

Reddit comments.

They allegedly don't care.

Then they respond.

Reddit notices.

They get mad.

They post again.

Reddit comments again.

AND ROUND AND ROUND WE GO.

Megan is busy convincing everyone she's unbothered while somehow making content about being bothered.

Joel is busy selling bowls while apparently trying to convince everyone that something BIG is coming.

The followers are quietly disappearing.

The filters are bending reality.

The whiskey remains employed.

And the receipts department is busier than ever.

Meanwhile the Fraudmans:

“WHY ARE YOU GUYS SO OBSESSED WITH US?”

Reddit:

“Because you keep posting.”

Fraudmans:

“STOP LOOKING!”

Reddit:

“Okay.”

Fraudmans:

“Anyway, here's another post.”

You literally couldn't write this shit.

And that's why we don't have to.

THE FRAUDMANS WRITE IT FOR US.

Cheers to another week, snarkers.

May Joel's Bowels—I mean Bowls—continue multiplying.

May Megan's filters remember how anatomy works.

May the followers find peace wherever they went.

And may Joel finally reveal what the hell “what's next” actually means.

Until then...

KEEP POSTING, FRAUDMANS.

REDDIT IS TAKING NOTES.

Dont forget to see our new thread on Megan's journey to not be queen b.....

Don't forget our running thread for Megan 2.0 that chick is crazy and obsessed so show some love to the thread and lets keep growing and thriving. We also have the thread dedicated to receipts of Megan's and Joeldy's relationship.

We also have a new running thread on Audumb aka Autumn Calabrese another alleged two timing heifer! She seems to love the Fraudmans, two peas in a pod.

Just a reminder that posting our opinions on information and content shared publicly is protected.

Reddit will not give out our information to those who may have their feelings hurt by the truth and people holding a mirror up to their own actions.

It’s called freedom of speech and expression and is protected throughout the state and country that they both currently reside in. So there is nothing they can do about this sub and our opinions on things they share publicly across several social media platforms.

As a sub we hold ourselves accountable to higher standards than the subjects of this sub.

We do this by doing the following:

-Not doxing the children or sharing images of them here.

-Posts directly talking about interacting or sharing information outside of this sub are removed.

-Sharing our opinions without sharing personal information that is not widely publicly available. If you can Google it or see a public post about it that can be snarked on here.

Those who keep the snark here and don’t choose to interact with any of the public pages to further express their opinion will never hear from Joel Freeman or Megan Ewoldsen.

If you as an adult on your own choose to engage with them outside of this sub, it is of your own free will and decision.

In no way is interacting, posting, and contacting the subjects of the sub outside of the sub endorsed or encouraged by the Mods or other members of this sub.

As Mods we try to limit the amount we censor and remove posts in the group, but please be aware there will be zero tolerance for posts discussing interactions outside of this sub. You may have noticed these being removed over the past several weeks.

If you ever have a question on a post that was removed just ask.

Otherwise happy snarking! They give us so much great content don’t they?

Dont forget if you have questions reach out to Moderators u/Harleyquinzel715 and  u/Peace_Neither.

Some of you have noticed your comments not showing up as you post them--- this is because there is a filter that is sifting through anything that can be considered harassment and/or extremely derogatory, offensive or disparaging. Once the MODs review it, if we think it is okay, we will approve it. As always, any questions, please reach out to the MODs via modmail.

Please keep the rules of our sub in mind when posting,

  1. TOUCHING THE POOP/PRIVATE SCREENSHOTS: If anyone is caught interacting with anyone that is discussed in this sub, it will be an automatic 3- day ban. Let's NOT encourage people to leave comments about JF / ME on Bre's personal accounts--not classy or respectful, AT ALL.
  2. CHILDREN: PLEASE read the Rules before reporting comments, especially for children. Keeping things generic is perfectly fine.
  3. DUPLICATE POSTING: Please make sure you are checking the thread to make sure a screenshot or topic you want to post, has not already been posted. The duplicity makes it very hard to have ongoing conversations if there are multiple threads on the same thing. We know it's instinct to just come and post, but especially if what you are posting shows it was posted SEVERAL hours ago, it's likely already been shared here.
  4. DIRECT COMMENTS: If you are unclear what meets this definition, please review the specifics in the pinned rules
  5. RULE #12: There is now an auto-mod removal filter for the most commonly reported words in post, that violate this rule.
  6. PICTURES WITH CAPTIONS: Please make sure to put a caption with a picture and not just post a picture with no context- particularly, a word that coincides with what the picture is.

Employment Questions Weekly Employment Question Thread

Welcome to the Weekly Employment Question Thread!

This thread is where you can ask questions about joining, training to become, testing, disqualifications/qualifications, and other questions that would be removed as individual posts per Rule 1.

The answer to almost every question you can ask will be "It depends on the department". Your first step is to look up the requirements for your department, state/province, and country.

As always, please attempt to resource information on your own first, before asking questions. We see many repeat questions on this sub that have been answered multiple times.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • I want to be a Firefighter, where do I start: Every Country/State/Province/County/City/Department has different requirements. Some require you only to put in an application. Others require certifications prior to being hired. A good place to start is researching the department(s) you want to join. Visit their website, check their requirements, and/or stop into one of their fire stations to ask some questions.
  • Am I too old: Many departments, typically career municipal ones, have an age limit. Volunteer departments usually don't. Check each department's requirements.
  • I'm in high school, What can I do: Does your local department have an explorer's program or post? If so, join up. Otherwise, focus on your grades, get in shape and stay in shape, and most importantly: stay out of trouble.
  • I got in trouble for [insert infraction here], what are my chances: Obviously, worse than someone with a clean record, which will be the vast majority of your competition. Tickets and nonviolent misdemeanors may not be a factor, but a major crime (felonies), may take you out of the running. You might be a nice person, but some departments don't make exceptions, especially if there's a long line of applicants with clean records. See this post... PSA: Stop asking “what are my chances?”
  • I have [insert medical/mental health condition here], will it disqualify me: As a general rule, if you are struggling with mental illness, adding the stress of a fire career is not a good idea. As for medical conditions, you can look up NFPA1582 for disqualifying conditions, but in general, this is not something Reddit can answer for you. Many conditions require the input of a medical professional to determine if they are disqualifying. See this post... PSA: Don't disqualify yourself, make THEM tell you "no".
  • What will increase my chances of getting hired: If there's a civil service exam, study for it! There are many guides online that will help you go over all those things you forgot such as basic math and reading. Some cities even give you a study guide. If it's a firefighter exam, study for it! For the CPAT (Physical Fitness Test), cardio is arguably the most important factor. If you're going to the gym for the first time during the hiring process, you're fighting an uphill battle. Get in shape and stay in shape. Most cities offer preference points to military veterans.
  • How do I prepare for an interview: Interviews can be one-on-one, or in front of a board/panel. Many generic guides exist to help one prepare for an interview, however here are a few good tips:
  1. Dress appropriately. Business casual at a minimum (Button down, tucked in long sleeve shirt with slacks and a belt, and dress shoes). Get a decent haircut and shave.
  2. Practice interview questions with a friend. You can't accurately predict the off-the-wall questions they will ask, but you can practice the ones you know they probably will, like why do you want to be a Firefighter, or why should we hire you?
  3. Scrub your social media. Gone are the days when people in charge weren't tech-savvy. Don't have a perfect interview only for your chances of being hired gone to zero because your Facebook or Instagram has pictures of you getting blitzed. Set that stuff to private and leave it that way.

Please upvote this post if you have a question. Upvoting this post will ensure it sticks around for a bit after it is removed as a Sticky, and will allow for greater visibility of your question.

And lastly, If you're not 100% sure of what you're talking about, leave it for someone who does

Employment Question Thread (APR - JUN 2022)

Note: Please specify which site/State/Country you are working in, or intend to work in.

This is a safe place to ask any question related to Boeing employment. It is focused on, but not limited to, employment life question, application related questions, and new hire questions for full time, part time, internship, and contracting individuals. This is not a thread to express personal complaints about your experience with the Company and any account that leaves a comment that can be interpreted as such will be permabanned.

We ask that you do some research on your own, as Boeing is such a large entity that your experience may not be the same as another. Generally, your best resource for most common question are going to be your own Manager.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. How soon do you hear back after an interview?
A. Can range anywhere from the next day to a month. If you have not heard back within a week, it does not hurt to request a follow up via e-mail.
Q. What is the dress code in the office?
A. Team dependent but majority of office workers are in business casual. It is safer to dress up on your first day so you can verify the proper attire to wear from then on.
Q. What do they ask during the job interview?
A. It is practically policy for interviews to follow the STAR format. There are many examples on Google on this format and how you should answer the question.
Q. I smoke weed. Do I have to get drug tested if I apply? Are there random drug tests?
A. One of the process during the initial contingencies is a drug test. Testing positive for THC can be a disqualifying condition. The Company may do random drug test, but no sub member has really seen it happen. If you are involved in a workplace accident, you will be subjected to a drug test as per policy. Active marijuana use will also limit you from obtaining a Security Clearance. This is important as most defense positions require the applicant to be eligible for a Security Clearance.
Q. How does internal transfer work?
A. Internal transfer is done through finding requisitions posted within our internal website, Worklife. These are requisitions made looking for internal candidates. You can improve the odds if you already know the Manager that is submitting the requisition. Your current manager is not involved in the process unless you choose to request for their assistance. However, your salary negotiation will be based on your current pay.

  3. Scrub your social media. Gone are the days when people in charge weren't tech-savvy. Don't have a perfect interview only for your chances of being hired gone to zero because your Facebook or Instagram has pictures of you getting blitzed. Set that stuff to private and leave it that way.

Employee/Employment question thread (JUL-SEP 2022)

Q. What can I do to prepare for the interview?
A. Please refer to this PDF: https://tbcdn.talentbrew.com/company/185/v2_0/docs/Boeing_Interview_Prep_2021.pdf

Experienced Following the "There is no market" thread from last week: I counted 598 live dev postings in Germany from 354 employers.

So last week's "there is no market" thread got like 180 comments and almost everybody agreed. I m a freelance android dev between two contracts and a few months ago I started aggregating public job postings for my own search. So I looked at what the postings actually say instead of the vibe.

Snapshot from today, 22 september. Deduplicated, one posting = one line even if it sits on 3 different sites. Important: I only track 20 technologies (devops, data stuff, android, ios, spring boot, .net, react, node, go, rust, django, laravel, symfony, flutter...) so this is a floor, not "the market". Pure java, C++, SAP, PHP without laravel etc are not in there.

Germany, live right now:

598 postings from 354 distinct employers (I remove the agency copy when the employer's own posting exists). 28% fully remote.

By tech: devops 155 postings (119 employers), data science / ML 148 (100), data engineering 58 (44), data analytics 43 (36), android 37 (24), spring boot 36 (26), react/next 24 (22), .net 21 (18), then node 13, go 13, laravel 10, django 10.

By level when the posting says it: senior 261, mid 66, lead 51, staff/principal 20, intern 25... and junior 18. Eighteen.

Cities: Berlin 169, Munich 135, Hamburg 39, Frankfurt 18, Cologne 18.

Same day same scope for comparaison: France 1394 postings from 283 employers (but france is inflated by freelance contracts, they publish a lot of those), UK 436 from 175, Spain 144 from 82, Poland 88 from 28, Portugal 70 from 24, Netherlands 44 from 23, Ireland 35 from 18.

What I take from it: the market is not dead, 600 live postings from 350 employers in one country in only 20 technos is not a desert. But its basically closed for juniors, 261 senior postings vs 18 junior is the real story behind that thread imo. With 8 years of xp you should still get interviews, with 0-2 the door is shut. And its narrow: devops + the 3 data categories are 68% of what I see in germany, so if your stack is elsewhere the thread is probably closer to your reality than my numbers.

Also for the record only 1% of the postings german employers put on their own career site mention a salary. Seperate problem but wow.

Limits, because there are alot: 20 technologies not all of software engineering, postings come from employer career pages and public boards so the corporate side is over represented, the dataset is only a few days old so I can't say how many are new per week yet, and a posting is an intention not a hire.

Germans of the sub: does the senior/junior split match what you see? And what stacks are missing from my list that you'd expect to be hiring, I want to add them.
