Hello! I have been struggling with one specific "issue" for about a week now and could not figure it out, so please give me any advice or if someone have been there: HELP :(

Here is the setup- 1 laptop(primary screen) and 1 external monitor(Smart TV) connected via HDMI in extended mode. Lets say the second monitor is meant for youtube music/podcast. The camera is Canon 70D(Wi-Fi). Connecting automatically when turned on with laptop (Canon EOS Utility). It opens DPP app and the main control app(that one tiny window with camera settings, etc.). I want to grab the camera>point>shoot...>...>... quick review. It opens almost instantly on second monitor(jpeg format) with Quick Review, but on minimized window.​To fix this temporarily, I have to go to the laptop, maximize the window, and then every subsequent shot appears in fullscreen. However, the problem occurs when I turn off the camera—the apps close automatically (as they should). After that, when I turn the camera back on and take another photo, the Quick Review window is minimized again.​I would love for the image to open in fullscreen automatically, but I have to maximize it manually every single time I restart the apps (by turning the camera on/off).

Pls if you have any idea how to force it to be fullscreen let me know. I am open to trying even HDMI dongles, TV is Smart TV and searched that it may transfer the picture a.k.a same result but different pathway.

Hey all, I’ve had this set up for some time now, and recently I’ve been having trouble connecting the flash to the body.

I don’t believe it’s a flash issue, as it turns on and tries to connect but disconnects and shuts off a half second later. New batteries.

Anyone come across this before? Is there a way to clean my mount or something?

I use it for night hiking and wildlife photos. So it sucks when I’m out there and it all of the sudden won’t work. 😭

Hi everyone! I’ve spent a few hundred dollars on lens rentals this month, so I’m thinking it’s time to buy my first lens.
I shoot 🏀🏈⚽️🏐 on a Canon R6. How does the Canon RF70-200mm f/2.8 Z perform with a 1.4x extender?
I’ve also considered the EF 300mm f/2.8 with an adapter, but worry it may be limiting for 🏀🏐.

Would appreciate your thoughts and real-world experiences. Thanks!

Just got into canon from Sony, although Sony does some things better I absolutely love the ease of use and the colours out of canon, happy with the swap

I have an R10 and I have damaged the edge of the rear screen. Still works, but I see a repair in the future. Any idea of the cost if Canon does it? Anyone tried after market replacement screen, and if so, was it a DIY job?

I'm an amateur photographer, mostly landscape, and it's been years since I shot with a real camera. I had the Rebel and 5dmk2 years ago and loved them but gave them up and have just used my phone to get some really great shots over the years. It's time to finally upgrade and I'm thinking the RP full frame since I'll be mostly doing landscape to start. I'm renting an R50 for a weekend trip to Red Rock Nevada, but only because the RP isn't available for rent. I hope it will give me a feel for newer Canon mirrorless but wondering what I'll be missing without the full frame. Thoughts?

I’m a DSLR man through and through.

Hey everyone, I'm very new to cameras and I decided to buy the R50V for videos.
I bought the camera 4 days ago and bought the SD today to test.

While testing I noticed a very small red dot almost at the exact middle of the screen. At first I tought it was a dead pixel but when I go the the menu, the red dot does not seem to appear. It only in shows in picture/video mode but not in the menu settings.

While pointing at the keyboard there is even a moment we can see 2 red dots.
Then, I took a photo with the camera of the box and the red dot was supposed to be somewhere where I circled in blue, but its not.

I took a video and covered the less so it would all be black and I can see the red dot there. Almost looks like its moving too.

When I point to bright areas I dont see the dot.

Does anybody know if this is normal?
Like I said I'm very new to all this so im not sure.

In meine Canon EOS M6 mk 2

Vorgeschichte: ich hatte immer schon Canon, analoge, 20D, 40D, 7Dmk2, R6 und zum Ausprobieren hab ich mir irgendwann eine M100 mit Kitobjektiv gekauft und ein bisschen herumgeknipst - einmal bei einer Geburtstagsfeier bei der ich keine große Kamera mitnehmen wollte - aber viele fragten was das für eine nette kleine Kamera ist und die Fotos waren allesamt ziemlich gut.

Ich hab die Kamera dann wieder ein Jahr vergessen und dann mal geschaut was sie alles kann und das Spitzenmodell der Serie gesucht - eben die m6mk2 mit viewfinder.

Da hab ich mich verliebt, das winzige Ding ist sensationell - und ich hab alle Autofokusobjektive gekauft dies für das eos-m Bajonett gibt (*) - und es gibt ganz sensationelle Festbrennweiten und Zooms. Und weil die M - Serie nicht mehr produziert wird, gibts die auch schon recht günstig. Und mit Adapter kann ich sowieso alle EF Objektive verwenden.

Und für den Fall dass sie dereinst stirbt, hab ich mir sicherheitshalber eine zweite M6MK2 gekauft. Man weiß ja nie.

Meine R6 MK3 ist natürlich noch ein bisserl besser, aber auch viel schwerer wie das M-Leichtgewicht

So jetzt ist es heraus :-)

(*) hab gestern herausgefunden dass es noch Viltrox 33 mm f/1.4, , Viltrox 56 mm f/1.4 und Tamron 18–200 mm f/3.5–6.3 Di III VC (B011) gibt die aber eher schwach sind und überdies durch meine anderen Objektive abgedeckt sind.

Thought this group may get a chuckle out of this R50V setup. I have a 5D MK IV and 16-35 f4 and 24-70 f4 for my landscape work but I saw the r50v on sale and thought what the hell and bought it with the rf28. Then the little gremlin in my mind got going and decided to use the canon speedbooster adapter for my 16-35 which effectively becomes an ~18-40 f2.8. Pretty ridiculous setup but I’ve gotten some great video out of it so far and it’s great indoors for keeping ISO down.

I currently have a Canon 350D however the pins inside the card reader are broken and after going to a camera repair shop I was told it would be cheaper to just buy a new 350D or 400D camera. Or I was also told I could go with and SD card type camera but am unsure which is best and what cameras would be compatible with the lens (canon EFS 18-55mm) I have for the current one.
So what I’m asking is for some advice on what camera/s would be best for me to get (preferably 2nd hand as don’t have a massive budget as damage was unexpected) thanks in advance.

Hi, I recently purchased the R6 Mark II with the STM kit. I am an amateur hobbyist photographer, and doesn’t really do paid events. I need a main lens I use the most, doesn’t care about weight and portability.

The image quality looks acceptable at daytime but it really struggles at night.

I am chasing image quality , so I had ideas about upgrading to the F4L version of the 24-105, or getting the 28-70 F2.8.

The 24-240 is quite useful and I don’t need to worry about focal length anymore, but the aperture is small, and quality isn’t the best.

The 24-70 F2.8L is a professional lens which I believe was overkilling for a person like me.
