How to best say the final /t/ sound?

In São Vicente Kriol, how should I say the final /t/ sound, such as in words like bsôt, dóte, móde?

(Being an English speaker, my brain is always confused with T and R sounds, because there are so many of them and they don't always map to the same letters. There's no choosing "the obvious one" for me.)

In Sao Vicente it is typically said with a soft t at the end when it is ending a sentence, or said alone, like in the word cat. If in speech, like Bzot cre bai p mar? you basically do not hear the t, although the tongue does hit the teeth, it is no really enunciated.

I am not Cabo Verdian, but that is what I hear here!

Try /θ/ (think)

Do you mean the stop in certain accents? That would be similar to what Same_Detective_7433 said. A fricative would sound off to me.

I can't tell, honestly.
