For ease of following from our community, any body text from the original post has been copied here:

"I have been feeding 2 beautiful feral cats. The black one became pregnant and I worried about her constantly. The day came when she brought her 3 perfect sweet kittens to where I feed her. I spent so much time watching this little family enjoying themselves. Even the Dad would play with the kittens. It was a perfect cat family. But I knew I had to TNR them. I felt much emotional torment over having to do this. Disruption of their simple little lives made me worry so much. But it had to be done. A kind lady helped me drop trap them. I took all 4 to the clinic. The runt could not be fixed because she was under 2 pounds.

I took them all home and kept them for 24 hours. I decided the 2 fixed kittens should be with their mom so they could be a family again. So I released the 2 fixed kittens and mama. Then tragedy. The kittens never came back. I went all around the neighborhood looking for them and asking neighbors. Nothing.

I write this in intense sadness and I take full blame for this big mistake. Cat families are not like human families. I projected the idea that this cat family needed to stay together with tragic consequences. I look at the kitten I socialized and think her siblings should be here with her. I will live what I did and will NEVER forget this terrible mistake."
