I don't understand what us adults are even supposed to do between the time we order and the time we get our food. Why don't we get crayons?

Cause you’d eat it. And adults need to eat more crayons to feel full so diners would go broke.

Not to mention no one has asked my favorite dinosaur in over a decade. Fuck pandering to kids. Ask adults the same shit you'd ask a kid. Their face will light up with excitement, I guarantee it.

You're a grown-up. Have grown-up conversations.
What dinosaur do you think was the kinkiest?

I went to a (then) local "barcade" (pubgrub, beers, arcade games) one time by myself to unwind after a particularly stressful day after work, and after I ordered my food they brought me an "adult" colouring in page + colouring pencils. The page was a scene from the original Die Hard, and was the highlight of my evening.

How is this news. The story said it was an honest mistake and she apologized.
The assholes are people making a big deal of it or sharing it for second hand amusement.

I'd gladly take the coloring page. Some adults still enjoy it. Glad they had a sense of humor about it.

I feel like this is almost one of those tabloid urban myths that gets recycled every year or two, just with a different couple each time.

I’m exactly 5’ tall and this has happened to me like 15 times. It’s crazy to me cause I was a server all through college and I never once made this mistake.

Super weird because even when I was a waiter in the type of restaurant that had coloring books I didnt just give them shit. They had to ask because idgaf.

Back in my 20s (late 90s), I went out with a woman who was 3'9"...I'm 5'11". The same thing happened to us and I quickly asked if I could have a kids menu to color as well. We went out a few times, but both agreed there was no spark, just 2 people that liked hang out once in a while.

James Lusted, a 26-year-old TV presenter from North Wales, went on a romantic dinner date with his fiancée, Chloe Roberts, at a Harvester restaurant in Cardiff in 2014. However, instead of simply receiving a menu, James was unexpectedly offered a children's coloring book and crayons by a waitress who mistook him for a child. James stands 3 feet 7 inches tall due to a rare genetic condition called diastrophic dysplasia, while Chloe, then 20, is 5 feet 7 inches tall.
The waitress realized her mistake when she heard James speak in a deep voice. Embarrassed, she quickly hid the coloring book behind her back. However, James and Chloe found the incident amusing rather than offensive, and they later described it as the highlight of their evening. They chose not to complain and said they would happily visit the restaurant again.
The couple had been together for 18 months and were planning to marry in the summer of 2016. James revealed that he had experienced bullying and undergone several surgeries during childhood. Despite their two-foot height difference, the couple said it had never affected their relationship. Chloe explained that people sometimes looked confused when they first saw them together, but they always laughed it off. Harvester later apologized for the mistake and thanked the couple for taking the incident in good faith.
