TW/TMI Eleanor Joan ❤️

I couldn’t feel her move. I couldn’t find her heartbeat last night. This morning confirmed my worst fear: Eleanor Joan passed away. We are at the hospital waiting on induction.

Please pray and send good thoughts, that this is quick and we can hold her, that her siblings can meet her.

Ultrasound Nervous about tomorrow’s US

I had a transvaginal US last week when I was supposed to be 6w2d (although I knew there would be differences between estimated dates as I ovulated days later than usual) and had a FHR (saw the flickering heart) and measured 5w5d. As far as my fertility clinic, this was the end of the road and they’ve referred me to my OB.
My OB on the other hand, had prepared me for when the BFP would come and had given me a referral to do a viability US between 6-7 weeks.
That appointment is tomorrow and it will be an abdominal US.
I know that the FHR is a positive sign but I’ve been recently spiralling because I haven’t had other symptoms than extreme fatigue, mood swings and sore breasts every now and then.
I fear that tomorrow they give me bad news, and my heart aches not only for me but for my husband and LC who are so excited about this baby (we had to break the news as I couldn’t carry my toddler and asked constantly to be gentle with my belly).
Please share your positive stories and good vibes, they will help me through the sleepless night.
Thanks for reading.

Ultrasound Private Ultrasound

• Upvotes

Hello I feel super anxious and I am having a hard time not worrying, I haven’t had an ultrasound since August 10 2026. The baby was 7 weeks 1 day either a Heart beat of 145bpm. I’ve had prior loss (missed miscarriage) in March 2026 and one chemical pregnancy Jan 2026. I haven’t heard the heart beat since August. My doctor tried to use a Doppler on September 25 in the clinic. She couldn’t find the heartbeat but she didn’t seem concerned. I have asked multiple times and even different doctors for another ultrasound but they have declined me, their reasoning is that I am still a low risk pregnancy.

I booked a private ultrasound for this weekend Saturday, October 24, the private clinic is an hour and a half away from me. My MIL is paying for the ultrasound and will be there with my husband. I’m scared it will go wrong and that I will have been wasting her money/time. She is a lovely person honestly, I just think I would feel more confident if I’d had an update of the baby at any point before this.

Advice Needed First pregnancy after 5–6 years of trying!

Hi everyone! ❤️ I just got my first-ever positive pregnancy test after 5–6 years of on-and-off trying! We’re ecstatic, shocked, and terrified all at once. I’m 38, and this is my first pregnancy.

My OB scheduled my first appointment for December 2, at around 10 weeks. I asked for a beta-hCG blood requisition to check my levels, but they said they only do this for patients with a history of miscarriage, who get seen around 6–7 weeks instead.

Is this standard practice in Canada? Did you also have to wait until 10 weeks for your first appointment or ultrasound?

I’m not spotting or bleeding and have been taking cheap pregnancy tests to watch the lines get darker, but the wait is nerve racking! Any advice for getting through these early weeks?

Sch at 5.9cm

• Upvotes

Hi all, my sister is 13w pregnant through IVF after previous pregnancy losses. At 11 weeks, she had heavy bleeding with large clots and was diagnosed with an SCH. At 13w, a new SCH measuring 5.9 cm was found, reportedly affecting the placenta, with additional placental bleeding. The doctor ruled out placental abruption but said there is no specific treatment and the outcome is uncertain. Baby’s heartbeat, NT scan and NIPT are normal.

Has anyone experienced a large SCH with placental bleeding around this stage? What was your outcome? Please share your honest experiences.

Enlarged Yolk Sac

Had my viability scan today. Baby is measuring 7W with a heartbeat of 129 bpm. There was a fetal pole but my yolk sac is measuring 10.5! Based on everything I have read, that is very very concerning and increases my risk of miscarriage and potential chromosomal abnormalities. Anyone in similar situation or has faced a similar situation in the past? I have been told to do a repeat ultrasound in 2 weeks but it feels like such a long time away and the fear and uncertainty is making it harder to hold on to the positives of the test result.

Update! Low HCG to start update!

I posted here when I found out I was pregnant and my HCG was only 15 despite me being 4 weeks according to my LMP.

Good news! My HCG has been blowing us out of the water.

October 13 - 15.64
October 15 - 52.64
October 17 - 149.78
October 19 - 441.26

I’ve had back to back miscarriages before this so I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much, but I’m very pleased with its increases. It almost tripled this last time!! I’m on progesterone this pregnancy so I’m hopeful it will help 🥺❤️

Has anyone else experienced low HCG in the beginning but then had strong HCG rises? Any advice for me? Please send all that sticky baby dust so I can finally have my rainbow baby soon…

Advice Needed BFP / possible chemical

2 previous miscarriage and one successful

Pregnancy 6 years ago. I started testing positive this time at late like 9pm 9dpo/ morning of 10dpo. Each day tests got a little darker - 13dpo being darkest. Today at 14dpo I figured by now I'd have enough hcg to test positive without FMU or a few hour hold because irs been 4-5 days of positives. My test is clearly much lighter than yesterday morning. I had some dizziness when standing up a couple times today. This lighter test sent me into a spiral so I need reassurance and/ or honestly . My boobs also don't hurt like they did yesterday. I might sound crazy but I'm jusr overwhelmed with anxiety . Any insight helps.

Sad TW: back to back miscarriages

Trauma dump and also looking for rainbow baby hope 😭🌈🌈

I was so naively blessed to have back to back healthy first try pregnancies in 2021 and 2022. I was 24 & 25. Having two under two was alot for us and we were young so we decided to wait until the girls were a little older to try again for a third.

Unfortunately it’s been a hell of a year. I lost a cousin, sister and grandpa in a very short period of time. My periods became very heavy and painful so I had an exploratory laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis in March but no endo was found. In May I got pneumonia and lost 15 pounds (I was already bordering on underweight so it was not good.) I put the weight back on quickly but I definitely know that my cycles were affected. We had talked about not preventing but not actively trying, because I was nervous that maybe it would take longer to conceive or we’d have issues compared to 4 & 5 years ago. Well, in August we conceived and it was a chemical loss at 4+2.

Then, we conceived immediately after again and my midwife put me on progesterone suppositories immediately after ovulation. I had heard so many positive stories about rainbow babies after early losses. I had all of the symptoms, we even saw a heartbeat at a 6+2 scan. The baby was measuring a few days behind but seeing the heartbeat calmed my nerves so much.

One week ago, I went in for the 8 week ultrasound to confirm the heartbeat and get an actual measurement of the FHR. I felt so weird that whole morning. Another mom was hugely pregnant and in the waiting room with her 3 smaller children, and she was so cute and cheerful and I felt this bizarre separation from her. The lady who called me back was short with me and I told her I was anxious and she snorted and said “why are you a first time mom?” No bitch, I had a loss right before this. Her tone changed entirely as soon as she started the ultrasound. I immediately saw that my baby wasn’t any bigger than it had been 10 days prior and I started panicking. Anyways. Had a D&C the next night and have been picking up the broken pieces since.

Today is the first day that I am suddenly wanting to hear stories about rainbow babies and not feeling like I’ll never want to try again. I am one of 5 and so desperately want another baby. So please… has anyone experienced recurrent loss after normal pregnancies and gone on to have their double rainbow? Please share stories of hope 😭🌈

Anterior low lying placenta

Hello everyone. Who here has experienced a low-lying placenta that started during the 2nd trimester?

I’m 16 weeks and it was confirmed that low-lying placenta is the cause of my sudden bleeding and on and off spotting. Until now at 17 weeks I’m still spotting, sometimes bleeding but no pain and no clots. Thanks to God, baby is okay.

My OB advised me to do total bed rest and take pregnancy support medicine 3x a day.

Is there anyone here who had a successful pregnancy even with this kind of situation during pregnancy? I need words of encouragement🥲🙏

Symptoms disappearing, but HCG rising.

TW: mention of miscarriage

After 3 losses (presumably due to my balanced translocation), I'm 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my first IVF baby (euploid). Everything was feeling great, until I started feeling my symptoms disappearing yesterday. This morning they were pretty much gone. I wasn't having many to start — just tender nipples, some light cramping/twinging, and lots of bloating. But this morning, my breasts feel fine, I woke up with a flat tummy (even though it's back to being bloated now), and my cramping has increased a bit.

I know some say symptoms can wax and wane, but all of my miscarriages started with a loss of symptoms so I'm feeling incredibly anxious that I'm about to experience another loss.

My betas are great, so my RE is not concerned (9dpt: 136, 11 dpt: 392, 14 dpt: 2,561). I know high betas don't equal viable pregnancy (my second loss had an hcg of 24,000 at 6 weeks). Has anyone experienced a sudden loss of symptoms before 5 weeks, but went on to have a healthy pregnancy? Feeling terrified right now.

Advice Needed Low starting HCG

Hello all!

We just got a faint positive on Friday (14dpo). Our last pregnancy ended in a MMC so I’m very anxious about everything right now.

My starting number was 39 at 14dpo, so pretty low. It went up to 147 by 48 hours so more than double.

I guess my concern is the low starting number and the light test result from day 14. I’m hearing mixed info on how important the first number is. I was happy to see it doubled but also don’t want to get my hopes up.

Were any of you in a similar boat with a low first number and if so, how did that turn out (whether good or bad)? My OB ordered another HCG but not until next week.

Symptoms No Round Ligament Pain moving or sneezing

Strange thing to complain about, but paranoid because previous losses.

During my first pregnancy resulting in my living child, I experienced round ligament pain the whole three trimesters.

With my Mmc I suddenly stopped having round ligament pain (and all other symptoms) around the time baby passed.

I am currently 7w pregnant and suddenly I am not having the sharp pain when sneezing like I did weeks 5 and 6. Rolling around I am fine too. I still have other symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness, which is keeping me from fully spiraling. Has anyone else lost their pain while sneezing/moving around and things turn out ok?

Anyone else with TPO antibodies?

Recently started on low dose synthroid after my TSH came back at 3.86, free t4 was 1.22 and my TPOs were 150s (5x higher than upper limit range on that particular lab). I’ve read that TPO antibodies are associated with negative outcomes, but has anyone had similar ish labs to mine without issue? Just trying to ease my mind! I go to the endocrinologist next week then for my 8 week ultrasound the next week. I have had no issues thus far in this pregnancy but the TPOs worry me after a little bit of research.

Long plateau, low HCG, now doubling. What could be happening?

Hoping someone who experienced something similar might be able to tell me how it turned out for them.

I ovulated 9/27 based on home testing. I got my first positive at 9 DPO on a home test, the lines got a bit darker but then stayed faint from about DPO11- DPO16. It looked like a long plateau so I was not hopeful and asked for blood tests to hopefully confirm that it was going to be a chemical pregnancy. Blood HCG at DPO 17 was 47, DPO19: 73, DPO21: 138. My OB says it could be viable but I really don't feel optimistic, given that I know implantation wasn't late because of the early positive test. These numbers just seem so so low for where I should be at this point. Did anyone have this sort of thing turn into a viable pregnancy? I had some spotting the past 2 days as well.

Ultrasound Inconclusive ultrasound but feeling optimistic and confused

Went in for my US at 7 weeks today and at first she couldn’t see anything because my bladder was full, so I had to empty it… then she found my uterus and gestational sack but couldn’t see anything in the sack. Then she saw a flicker and what she thought was a yolk sak and a possible subchorionic hematoma. She called in another doc to look.

She said she’s feeling positive and that it may just be too early to see it all which is why they like to wait until 8 weeks?!?!

She showed me the flicker and I definitely saw it!! But she said it could also be my blood flow?? Like what!

I’m going to take this as a positive for now. The gestational sack was measuring 7 weeks 1 day.

Such a whirlwind!!!! It’s going to be absolutely agonizing to wait until next Monday.

Next US she will have me with the ultrasound tech that she said can see more. She gave me the 🤞 on the way out??? lol

Advice Needed Possible chemical pregnancy or an abnormal period?

Hello - I don't really have anyone to ask about this in my personal life, and I'm just hoping to hear the thoughts of some other folks without the fear of judgment. I am wondering if I experienced a chemical pregnancy or just an abnormal period.

For context, I have what I would call predictably irregular periods, but what I am experiencing now does not follow that pattern. Typically, I have a monthly cycle, however, every other month I have "phantom" periods. What I mean by that is that every month, my hormones seem to fluctuate, I get PMS, bloating, cramping, etc., but I only bleed every other month. When I do bleed, it is dark brown or dark red and only lasts 3-4 days.

At the end of September (23-29th), I was sexually active for the first time in 2.5 years. I have a birth control implant in my arm, but it is out of date and I am also overweight which I read makes it less effective, and my partner and I did not use any other birth control method (ie., condoms).

I was set to have a proper period with blood this month on October 15th. The 15th came and went with no period, so I took a pregnancy test that day, and it was negative. On the 17th, I had a small amount of very watery pink blood come out, which only lasted a few hours and was very minimal. When it stopped so quickly, with so little blood, and the blood was a color atypical for me, I became a bit concerned about it potentially being implantation bleeding. I know that you wouldn't test positive until a few days post-implantation, but I tested anyway, and it was negative (no big surprise). Today, however, I started to feel some cramping and pain in my abdomen and lower back, so, out of an abundance of caution, I got another test, and when I went to take it, there was already some dark blood in my underwear. I took the test anyway, and it was negative.

My question is, could this have been a very, very early chemical pregnancy? Would there be any way to confirm? It's the not knowing that is chewing me up.

I believe I lost a chemical or early pregnancy about 3-4 years ago. In that case I'd had really abnormal amounts of blood and pain, followed by a faint positive test then a later negative test. Part of me feels that this experience has sort of primed me to be cautious about this now.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Low progesterone - supplementation

I’m about 5 weeks pregnant, had my levels tested last week with hcg going from 137 to 479. However, my progesterone came back at 5.9 which is really low (first trimester range is 11-44).

I started 200mg oral progesterone once every night, so it’s been about 8 days of that and I noticed very light spotting today with mild cramps and am worried.

My doctor has been cautious and hesitant whenever I’ve asked about progesterone supplementation, so I don’t think she will increase my dose, but I wonder if I should increase it anyways by taking one in the morning too? Or switch to vaginal?

(I’ve had 3 early miscarriages within the last 12 months and am also on Lovenox and baby aspirin)

Vent Here I am- Going through beta hell

After 3 years of trying, 3 failed IUIs, and 2 cancelled FET cycles, we finally transferred our Day-6 5AA euploid embryo on October 6. I was over the moon when my first beta came back at 318 at 9 dpt. For the first time in a long time, I allowed myself to feel genuinely happy and hopeful. Today at 13dpt, second beta came back at 679.1 exactly 4 days after the first.

Initially, my nurse sounded reassuring, but later called back because she had thought my betas were only 48 hours apart instead of 96 hours. Now they’ve scheduled a third beta in another 4 days. I’m feeling so many emotions right now. After everything we’ve been through, it’s heartbreaking to finally see those positive pregnancy tests and still feel so uncertain about what comes next. I am trying so hard to stay hopeful, but I’m terrified of losing this pregnancy. I know my hCG is rising, just slower than expected. Has anyone experienced a similar beta progression over 4 days and gone on to have a successful pregnancy?

I literally have an exam next week and I can’t concentrate on anything since I’ve heard this news.

Advice Needed Dealing with anxiety and fear

I am 6w2d pregnant with our rainbow baby! We have our first scan Wednesday and I can not for the life of me shake the fear and anxiety! Of course today I woke up with a temp drop on my oura (not orally though) I have fewer symptoms today then I did the last few days (they come and go some days are awful others not to bad) today of course is a not bad day. Having some heaviness and cramping and im just sprialing!

Our loss was a MMC at the end of May we went in and should have been 8w/ish. But baby had stopped growing a few days after our 1st scan at 6w2d. So my emotions are all over the place and I just dont know how I shake this feeling. Ive prayed ive been eye balls deep in my Bible and positivity but I dont know how I just feel ok, or if the feelings is normal. Im trying to give myself grace but the lack of symptoms today also dont help my situation. I just want Wednesday to be here and then my 8w scan! Pregnancy after loss is no joke.

Advice Needed Is 592.4 low for 5 week?

Yesterday I went in because I was feeling some cramping on my right side, they took me in did blood work and an ultrasound. The doctor told me they saw no pregnancy on the ultrasound and that my HCG was 590 he diagnosed me with a miscarriage I haven’t even spotted at all during this pregnancy so I left very confused.. I get another draw Monday because that’s when I’ll finally have a free day to do so and I’m hoping by then I’m seeing a completely different number if I don’t start miscarrying. I also don’t like they way the immediately ruled it a miscarriage as I have previously had a missed miscarriage and had two ultrasounds to confirm.

Measuring behind and I’m certain of my dates

Hi - need some opinions on my situation. I use Lh strips and I’m positive I ovulated 9/4. I could be off 2 days max.

9/4 - ovulation
9/13 - negative pregnancy test
9/14 - positive pregnancy test
9/30 - 5w5d. Measured 4w4d and nothing but sac seen.
10/12 - 7w3d. Measured 6w0d. Embryo visualized and heartbeat of 89bpm measured.

Zero bleeding/cramping. Am I slowly miscarrying? Any chance this is viable? Progesterone is 13 and betas were almost doubling every 48 hours.

Advice Needed Beta anxiety

Last Monday first beta was 125 and second beta 48 hours later was 326. They told me no more betas and are doing an early placement scan this week. Im kind of anxious that they didnt do a third beta. Is this normal?

Is this just my anxiety?
