I actually properly alphabetised my collection. Before it was just As, Bs etc. Too random and I was running out of space. Now it's in actual alphabetical order, sorted within the same band/artist by my favourites. I've been meaning to do it for years but it felt too daunting. 30 odd years of collecting, alongside several hundred records on the other side of the room. As you'll see, I keep having to buy new types of shelves!

Best random surprise gift I've ever gotten

For the longest time I've either been using Spotify (without premium) or YouTube to listen to my music, mostly just for convenience sake, and while I had a CD player that I got from my grandparents after they passed away, it mostly just sat in the corner of my room because the CDs they owned were mostly genres that im not a fan of.

Fast forward to November of last year, and I've decided to finally put the CD player I got into use, by purchasing a copy of Alive 2007 by Daft Punk. I brought out the CD player, added the disc, plugged in my headphones and pressed play, and now I'm beginning to understand why people in my generation are coming back to this form of media, the physical ownership of said item, the sound quality compared to streaming, its amazing!

Fast forward AGAIN to this year and I've gotten a small collection going, for the most part its just Daft Punk, as well as From First to Last, but listening to the albums in higher quality, as well as physically owning said product, its a very nice thing to own and have, and I definetly plan to collect more in the near future, I already have two CDs arriving this month!

(I do want to note that I do apologize if this wall of text is a bit convoluted, it's 5 in the morning where I'm currently at and im tired as hell xD)

Hello..so bought this new Alba Cd player from FB Marketplace

Its..working..?

The disc spins and the mini screen is working but i get no sound from it

I think its the cd problem ?

I went to out local shop and burnt a Song file in the cd

The disc does spin, so im worried is it the disc problem? If yes then I'll buy a New OG cd, if not i dont wanna lost money randomly..

The artist behind this project is a recent online friend I've made, and he was kind enough to send me this extra copy after the CDs had sold out on Bandcamp. Really great stuff here!

I made a post earlier this morning of my CD collection that I've gathered so far, well one of my new CDs arrived, so it's been added to the list lol. This also means my Daft Punk CD collection is finished as well, it's not much but I mostly wanted to go for their main studio albums, their Alive sets, and the Tron Legacy score, the last one being dear to me as that's how I discovered Daft Punk as a kid when the movie came out.

The unmarked Philips CD-R discs are the nerdcore rapper The Stupendium and the girl group XO - neither of them release discs so I had to buy the mp3's and burn them myself

Saw Black Milk at a small show in London last night and got a signed cd. Such a talented guy and put on a great performance - playing around with homemade beats amongst doing his classics and the new album.

The new album Ceremonial is up there with his best too. Glad to have this in the collection

I can sell my copy of Throwing Copper by Live and find it again in used CD stores, but I will never get rid of Hot Action Cop self Titled!

I was content to just add another CD to my internet meme music portion of my collection. I had no idea what I was getting into as I started looking at the album notes and unfurled this beauty.

It felt like watching meme giving birth to a meme.
