Reducing meat and dairy consumption is the easiest way to lower climate impacts. Do that and start building better cities than one, where you need a car and just waste land and energy lots of energy to do anything. Western world is very inefficient in terms of travel, energy use and housing

I go to protests
I work in the airline industruy
I eat meat.
go ahead and shoot me then😅
I am all for cutting subsidies and taxing Jet-Fuel. On the otherside it will make these things more expensive for the people who contributed the least to the issue while those who profit from this disaster will keep enjoying their shrimps and steaks at 30'000 feet.
My idea destroy the whole fucking system. Build from scratch😅

Any reason you wouldn’t give up meat? It’s really not that difficult

you are right. I could stop today. But I like it too much to quit 100%. Same thing with eggs, cheese and honey. You will have to rip it out of my dead hand to stop me.
70% of the meals of the meals I eat I cook for myself. I prepare meat about 1-3 times a month. I buy it from my local butcher and I have already visited the farm where the meat is coming from. I also buy onions, eggs and flour from that farmers shop.
I try to eat consciously. I also eat fish or exotic foods. I am aware of the environmental impact of those products.
I just estimated my meat consumption and its about 10-20% of the local average.
The other day I saw a billboard from WWF which summarizes my point: "We need alot of people eating less meat". If you shame people who eat meat they will stop the conversation right there. If you tell them that additives in sausages, ham, and other processed meats increase cancer risk and that there are better options to make a sandwich (cabage and hummus is my favourite) you can actually nudge that person into consuming less meat.

Yeah, it’s not really about shaming it’s just saying it’s not actually too difficult but people throw a huge list of reasons often why for them it’s a non negotiable and most vegans or vegetarians started there as well and eventually changed their tune so it’s good to keep the convo going. I agree it’s vastly better than people reduce than do nothing but 🤷♀️ doesn’t hurt to nudge

How much is more accurate. Flexitarians have had by far the largest impact. It is far easier to achieve and deal with a 60-90% decrease in meat consumption than going full vegan, yet the hit to pollution and the industry is catastrophic (in the good way) due to how massively more people achieve it.

Lmao, imagine thinking climate change wasn't a class issue that required us enriching ourselves by expropriating the expropriators 😂😂😂

The real problem is demography. If we were only 500 millions on earth, we could eat cow's egg at every breakfast.

I mean earth population right now is roughly 8.3 billion, so I dont think that is a good way to think about it. Climate solutions should be realistic

Grass fed is good for planet !!!
Cows do create good soils , which store carbon !
BUT , the issue is = FACTORY FARMING !!!!
I mean , if a family raises a cow , pig, chicken etc..
They care for them as much as they can.
Factory farms just brutal, Zero love , zero care. Just sick industrial machine without heart NOR care for what is happening and how !

#1 rule for guaranteed success in any movement: Only protest a systemic problem if your own life is faultless.
