Let's talk about Harold Lock and it's variations against this Meta

So I'm having a hard time reaching legend this month. I usually get there in the first 10 days or so, but I hit a wall around D2. I really feel like I can do it, but a few matchups are killing me, and I can't decide which version to run. Struggling with Pirate warrior, mage, DH, and both shaman flavors. Easy matchups are any priest, rafaam lock, drake lock, any egg deck, any DH deck.

Core Cards: 24 cards

2x Cursed Catacombs

2x Cursed Chains

2x Drain Soul

2x Shadowsworn Disciple

2x Caged Cranium

1x Godfather Kazakus

2x Imp Gang Stooge

1x Godfrey

2x Shrine of Twilight

2x Spire of Solitude

1x Ultraxion

2x Annihiulation

1x Deathwing

2x Unseen Atlas

Tech/Disruption:

1x Rustrot Viper - warrior, shaman, paladan, quest mage, attack druid. Auto-include 1 I think

2x Ancient Augur - auto wins vs. most combo decks (especially rafaam). I'd have a hard time getting rid of this, but it is too slow for pirate warrior and zee shaman.

1x Cho'gall - Really good in longer matchups, but maybe it's a win more card? Definitely too slow against any aggro deck, but it seals the deal against almost every slower matchup

1x Gnomeferatu - Better tempo than Augur, but no control over what gets burned

1/2x Glacial Shard - attack druid, DH, warrior. Decent a lot of the time, but not gamechanging imo

Removal/Fringe/Can't Decide:

Mortal Coil - kills pirates, draws a card, but feels useless a lot of the time. IDK if this deck needs more draw

Shadow Rounds - really good against aggro, but feels like a dead card in any other matchup

Tachyon Barrage - been experimenting with this as a finisher. It can kind of save you against wide boards, but I've also had it kill me a few times

Hellfire - obviously great against wide boards, but often times you can't afford the 3 damage

I know there's also the Animancer version with either Ultrigasaur or Asphyxiodon, but that takes up a lot of valuable room with the suffle card as well.

Mulligan: usually looking for Disciple + cursed chains, especially against priest/warlock. Always keeping catacombs and atlas, keeping viper against attack druid, DH, and warrior. Will keep Caged Cranium against faster decks if I already have some draw, will keep Img Gang Stooge except for warlock and priest. Against slower matchups I will keep/look for spire, especially if I have coin and card draw already. Sometimes I will keep Kazakus against warrior and pray for +12hp or card steal vs. combo decks. Any advice? I haven't really struggled like this to reach legend in quite a while, feel like I'm playing well, and don't really want to switch. I'd say pirate/dragon warrior is by far my most common matchup even though it should be priest according to HSGuru

What about hellfire? Doesn’t it boost your WR vs wide boards?

Gnome and Cho’gall don’t seem great. Cho is good against the slow decks that this deck already beats. Gnome seems too low-impact to me.

I feel like glacial shard is too good to pass up.

I got there with pig/divergence lock eventually this season after being hard stuck at d1. It's not Harold lock but runs alot of similar cards. most of my final matches were against pirate/drag War or unholy dk...I wanna say the tech cards matter less than you think they do I was running this exact package before and was ~50% wr. I think Kazakus is auto keep against warriors and aggro honestly. Even if you don't get void lord and or heal 12. 3 minions and +3/3 is a shit ton of tempo against what they can do if you're efficiently clearing its honestly very hard to deal with those stats. Hell Fire gives shadow rounds alot more ready so does life drain.

To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone

The no hands video list might be different but it shows you a bit of how to play. keep shadow rounds, drain soul, hellfire and Kazakus against aggro. Against control keep divergence and rotheart other card draw is also ok. Remember if you draw the shred of time while your hand is full from tachyon rounds you won't take the dmg. Often times you're killing them with an Aggga deathwing clear with 0 Mana discount barrage hellfire and demonic containment to take out higher health taunt minions before trying to push for face. I've taken the 1 cost dragons 1 time against a druid and it allowed me to outvalue them though this isn't typical lol. Also remember agga's effect ignores armor. Cursed catacombs is a good way to search for something to play with agga if your deck is thinned enough just remember to play it before playing agga.

There's another drake deios list floating around that also wins through a combo but that deck didn't click with me as well as this one did.

I don't have agg or divergence unfortunately, and I don't want to spend dust right before new cards
