PC Tainted corruption?

I have a fully corrupted build so my corruption always sits at 50%. However the wiki says that using transportory stones should corrupt me further, appling the tainted debuff. This isn't happening. Was the mechanic removed or it's a bug?

Tainted was removed when they updated sorcery last summer. Used to be using a transporatory stone could corrupt you up to 99% for as long as Tainted lasted, now they just corrupt you a little bit.

I think the lowest a ts can take you is 50%
