Help with identifying a middle school band piece?
I can’t add videos so I’ll add a YouTube link:

I’ve been trying to remember the name of a piece I played in 7th/8th grade. Excuse my poor humming (noises)
I played the b flat tenor sax, so I can provide the notes for the first part: (all quarter notes)
D D D E | E E F F | E D
The second part was played by the trumpets, so i don’t know the notes played.
The tenor sax and bass instruments would play the first part for about 2 measures, then the trumpets and whoever else come in.
Edit: I found it, it’s Spania by David Shaffer. I guess my memory was foggier than I thought lol. Incredible piece btw.

If someone on here can’t place it, maybe you can contact Hal Leonard. It’s a better than average chance that they published it. If you did it at a concert, perhaps you could contact the school or band director and see if the programs are saved. That would only be four concerts you’d need to browse through.

First piece that came to mind was "Fuego del Alma" by Carl Strommen, but I don't think it's middle-school level. What you hummed did have a Spanish vibe to it.

The notes and rhythms you sing don't match the notes and rhythms in your post. (With notes specifically I don't mean it doesn't start exactly on D, but that the intervals themselves aren't lining up).
Which should we go off of? (Nothing comes to mind for me personally for either one, but I don't have much exposure to middle school band music)
