I’m getting a lot of FOMO on social media since the IndusInd things came out. If I have like zero plans to travel to Australia/NZ/Qatar etc in nearby future and maybe USA a year down the line would you still recommend getting into the hoops by taking this card up?

Yes u can do both. For pooling you have family household accounts in BA and also family account in QA. Also u can transfer avios in British air for free if u r gold and baove in BA.
I have a use case. Say, I get the Indusind Avios card both me & my wife. Then, what is the procedure to pool the points given that both of us are not members at either BA or QA. Thanks a lot.
As a follow up question, will this strategy work for my case wherein both myself and my wife have qatar accounts already.I have some qatar avios present in my account but my wife has 0 avios currently. If we both apply for indusind avios card seperately, get the avios points and can it be pooled back later to my account as head of family in QA?

2. Is it advisable to use avios for dubai trip, people are saying the taxes are too much and I didnt get that part frankly?

I was looking for malaysian airline direct flight from bom -> kul but on their app. I always see 1stop at doha. Is there a setting to check partner airlines?

I have a DCB Metal card and have crossed the 8 L milestone. Got around 8-10% on overall spend on the total spend. I Have zero idea about Avios world. Have seen many many posts on Edge Miles and Edge Rewards from Axis bank, but never got a hang of it. I have basic idea about the points system, but the converting to miles thing goes above my head as I have never used it. Which card do you think I should get to start in the miles world to get max benefit? Do you think we can extract more % on other cards for flight bookings?
Would you recommend the indusind avios card to someone just for this year’s bonus avios offer while the person holds other travel cards such as atlas and regalia gold and also not necessarily would spend anything else on the indusind avios card further to hit milestones?

Can we use Avios for Malaysian airlines? Don’t see direct route to Malaysia from India it’s only via Doha. Even on British air website can’t find it. Applied for IndusInd card and planing to travel Malaysia this year.
U can as part of one world alliance. Use the American airlines search engine to search for rewards and then call the qa call centre to book the flight via call. U can book if vailability is there
If I pay the joining fees, use the card for few months, transfer to the avios to QA account and close the card before a year, will the points be deducted? Also what are the expiry for avios points?
Guess i am late for the party! I pre booked my trip to EU when this offer came and being a FOMO fool I applied for it. Now, I ll be planning to Phuket, Singapore n Malaysia & Dubai in upcoming months(say within 4-6 months). Can I somehow utilise them in any of these routes?
U can use for india malaysia and intra south east asia route. And 1 trip to europe is never enough. I have done over 10 now for leisure, so u can always go again

First get the card, meanwhile u move ur points to British Airways and then once u get 40k then make a pool with wife as head of family. And then transfer ur points back.
There is aredemption for every part of the world. U first need to make an account n start searching. Use British Airways website and the world is your oyster. Airmiles redemption does need some effort and flexibility. See delhi helsinki Toronto route via Finnish air too for canada

Yes u can see if u have required points in account. If you need any specific redemption, you can dm and I can try to check. Also use American airlines or BA engine to find availability first. They dont ask for points ts to be there however taxes are slightly different across vaios airlines.
For amex plat travel transfers for avios, generally what are the best options for redemptions, are there specific airlines where we generally get better deals or we need to do that by ourselves. Also are there statuses that we can achieve via avios?
Independent of the amex transfers. One of the sweet spot is J class redemption via qatar air to aaustralia or nz. Easily 2 to 3 rs per avios. Also intra Australia and intra US and ntra carribean options are great value. The list is quite big and you need to first tell which region are u focusing on
U can try, if u r short on avios qa will show that u need more avios. Normally they r good in ensuring that point transfer is seamless. So dont worry if it fails. The points will not go in limbo.
No u can't, n please dont do this hanky Panky with airlines. They can screw u badly. Also qa picks ur account no directly even u informing them..so please dont play tricks or jeopardize ur points
Yes via one world it can though availability is a bit evasive...but u can if u really want to do it..i had almost secured once via qa. Delhi doha narita
1) I am debating whether I should do an economy New Zealand or a business class Europe trip (to Helsinki) with the avios miles. I do have points in axis atlas that I can transfer along with the IndusInd avios. Which one would be recommended through QA? NZ travel time seems pretty high with Doha layover.
2) Are there any particular business class flights I should be targeting? Like any specific fleet?
Its avery personal question. I have done over 10 euro redemptions and even nz redemption via krisflyer J class. But based on destination. Do NZ u will never regret. The flight is only one part but NZ is once ina lifetime destination.
Don't focus too much on this or that cabin. I perso ally take whatever I can afford. I actually found q suite quite underwhelming. Very similar to etihad J class. O dont break ur head for specific cabins..u r not flying just for the cabin but actually to go to the actual destination
Yeah we are planning to do both anyways, deciding on which one first. But I wanted to know more from the airline experience point of view. I felt that through this I’ll be able to get the international business class experience
Intra europe is 12.5k and india to helsinki is 20.8k points. Taxes vary by airport. U can try urself too , just need to create a Finnish account n search
I dont like boosting unless u r short of some specific miles for a specific redemption. So unless u have that scenario like that I dont suggest. Plenty of easier way to earn
Even if not now, it can be useful in subsequent years. I have built airline mileage portfolio for over 15 years now it has been immensely rewarding. STOP thinking on short term basis nd think big if you really want great redemptions.
