General Discussion/Conversation The Axis Burgundy Private “One” Card comes in a literal lock box lol
Had an interesting unboxing experience today when the RM came home and asked me to open the Axis One credit card package only for it to feature an actual lockbox lol.
Have never seen anything of this sort before.

Literal definition of unche naam feeke pakwaan
A card which is 10X better than this requires 6% the TRV that this card requires, and both cards are issued by the same bank.
Never change Axis stay dumb
I had to change my salary account because Burgundy Private is not worth getting and they think people are going to keep 5 Cr for this dumbass card

Hasn't M4B been discontinued?!

u/WolframBravo 27d ago
Its there, I got it 2 days back. I'll be furnishing my apartment and gonna spend 30L over 3-4 months.

u/Informal_Tutor_3756 27d ago
Wow! Makes me a happy puppy. What did you have to do to get it? My RM is unaware of this card altogether.

u/Bull_in_Bullion 26d ago
30 Lakhs FD. No questions asked.

u/Taylormadefreestyle 26d ago
I have that too. Will I get it or will I get some other credit card?

u/WolframBravo 26d ago
Just pop in 30L as FD, get a Burgundy account. And then tell them that you need Magnus for Burgundy.

I think it’s a great card for people who don’t use CC a lot. M4B has 30k fees! This one is free (if you maintain TRV)

Yes. But the box is a gimmick.plus I don’t see any value in the card either especially after the devaluation. Axis bank is also not great at service, especially my private RM.

u/Technical-Notice6160 27d ago
Yeah. Agreed on most things. I don’t think it’s a very secure box lol. But the service aspect has been okay for me for large parts.
And I dont intend to use the card itself much except for maybe when i travel internationally.

u/myoldaccountisead 27d ago
I don’t mean to be a downer. Congrats on the card. I too was excited when they did this whole smoke and mirrors act.
I use my HSBC premier card everywhere now. The funny thing is that the hearsay is that HSBC service sucks while axis is better, but I find the reverse to be true. Guess it does depend on the RM. The rm I had when I was a burgundy customer, was much more proactive.

u/Technical-Notice6160 27d ago
No, i understand
I wasn’t looking to get this card either. The RM thrust this on me. I just thought the unboxing experience was interesting. For all practical purposes, i intend to continue using Infinia, which has been my daily driver for a while now.

1
u/Strict-Background189 Maximizer 26d ago
They must have given atleast 45 lacs or so
1
u/AdminZer0 26d ago
I highly doubt it, only op can answer
1
u/Strict-Background189 Maximizer 26d ago
Premuim cc limits starts from 20 lac plus just for example infinina 10 lac start, emralde private icici bank 6 or 8 lacs
1
u/Strict-Background189 Maximizer 26d ago
Amex platinum charge as such no limit but annual fee of 66k plus GST 😁
1
u/AdminZer0 26d ago
Big difference between a cc company and a bank.
Also its a charge card not a credit card.
1
u/Strict-Background189 Maximizer 26d ago
But ultimately they are giving credit limit only which isn't disclosed

Ok 😂 its like premium customer who can maintain a large amount can get it right.
1
u/RevolutionaryPea2774 27d ago
Right or if you have the right contacts then it works too as well.
1
u/techieguy0017 27d ago
Oh ok.
1
u/techieguy0017 27d ago
Btw what exceptional benefits u have ?
1
u/RevolutionaryPea2774 27d ago
So I am under the family scheme and the only purpose this has served for me is cash withdrawal of 3L/day so that’s 3*4 members =12L/day. Just this and booked a couple of movie tickets like twice or thrice in last 6 years lol
1
u/techieguy0017 26d ago
oh okay, it seems nice with ur use case
but i would expect from this premium card to give lounge access and spa access too.
unfortunately, it doesnt have it right ?
0
u/trydying67 25d ago
Axis Burgundy Private has unlimited Domestic and International Lounge access as well as access to spas. There are so many other benefits to it along with this. Just use Google, you idiot. Whatever your regular use card is, Burgundy Private and similar cards are simply out of your league and from the way you're speaking, you definitely can't comprehend the benefits and perks they have to offer.
1
u/techieguy0017 25d ago
Lol! You wouldn't have seen the cards in ur life which i am holding already u beggar. Its just that i dont have savings account with axis, so i wasn't aware about that burgundy benefits. And when i asked u about exceptional benefits then u r listing about withdrawal so soo... u should have mentioned about these loungue access things first. And spa access. Try to articulate it well if u r using reddit. Otherwise ur comment is nothing more than blah blah...idiot!

After yesterday’s change, this card actually makes some sense. At least you can transfer to Accor at 5:4 ratio.

Y don't govt banks offer something similar? They have some of the worst cards. High time they also upgraded their cards
1
u/Strict-Background189 Maximizer 27d ago
Pnb luxura credit card is really good, same is the case with boi and union bank rupay select credit card luxura cc costs 7500 rupees and 18lac salary per annum. Other two cc are also available at the lower thresholds but all these cards are available to people who have accounts with these respective banks.
1
u/NefariousnessNo9136 27d ago
Which BOI CC card would you recommend? Any benefits?
2
u/Strict-Background189 Maximizer 27d ago
Boi rupay select cc and it has two upper variants which has annual fees of 2000 or so but you get various vouchers and spa benefits as well as cult fit membership so nothing you're loosing only one condition you need to apply have boi account older than 1 year or 15 months old
1
u/Strict-Background189 Maximizer 27d ago
Boi Celestia cc and union ekka cc rare cc to add in collection

Any suggestion for Indian Bank?
1
u/Strict-Background189 Maximizer 26d ago
Indian bank has stopped giving cc to general public its only for its own customers that too selected people who have considerable trv with them. Cc are issued only as pre-approved offers. All the above information I have confirmed from branch manager itself. I do have account with them but I don't maintain that high balance amount. You can try pnb they give cc pre-approved offer to people who maintain 50000 or so for atleast one quarter.
1
u/technicalbuffett 26d ago
I have a large trv with them. Upwards of 7cr. Is there any card worth talking to my manager Abt.
1
u/Strict-Background189 Maximizer 26d ago
7cr 😳 well Indian bank rupay select cc is good it has same spa benefits and cult fit membership and coupon of Amazon prime and Sony Liv. All the rsdc benefits are there on cc, here you can get max cc limit of 5 lacs if I'm not wrong you can check it afterwards as website of Indian bank is almost same from past 2 years no change. So it's not updated, this cc limit is what I got to know from my known persons.

SBI (including SBICARD) generates 3.5 times the profit as Axis without all this razzle dazzle

u/Strict-Background189 Maximizer 27d ago edited 26d ago
Sbi works on mass scale it has 48 cr accounts, it charges for debit cards, and atm machines and sbi takes charges for depositing money via atm which canara doesn't and uco as well. Sbi has charges and so does axis I would be say axis has even more but sbi works on mass scale

Epic, congratulations OP. However this card has lost its elegance. My dad used to have this card. Axis excluded the demat holdings from TRV and there would be 50k annual fee so he let go. Maybe only for forex rn otherwise there are other good cc options.
