General Discussion/Conversation It'sAlright, mistakes happen - HSBC said no, then sent the card anyway 💀
HSBC rejected my application for not meeting their income threshold. Very professional, very final.
A few days later, the card shows up at my door. Visa Infinite, no less.
Guess the right hand didn't get the memo from the left hand. Anyone else had something like this happen with a bank? Curious how common these mix-ups actually are.

The same thing happened to me. I applied for the t1 credit card two days ago. HSBC sent me an email saying the application was declined due to their internal criteria or something similar, but I received the card today. I do not know what the hell HSBC is managing.

Similar thing happened with me during my application. I got an email from them indicating I had some incomplete documentation and then when I followed up with customer care they said the application is still in progress. After a few days my application got approved and the card was delivered to me.
