Card Recommendation Magnus Burgundy worth it for <12L spends?
I’m 24 and have been using the HDFC Regalia Gold for the past year. My annual card spends sit comfortably around 7–8L.
I’m eligible for the Magnus for Burgundy from Axis if I switch my salary account over (it’s currently with HDFC). My monthly in-hand is slightly above 2L.
Does getting the Magnus Burgundy make sense for my spend profile?
My main hesitation comes down to the fee and past devaluations, especially since Regalia Gold is essentially free for me right now. On top of that, I don't think I can hit the spend threshold for accelerated rewards consistently (maybe for a month or two during major expenses, but definitely not regularly)
Would love some inputs, especially from folks holding the card or anyone who made a similar move from HDFC.
PS: Tried to push my RM for a DCB but she said it wont be possible without the 2.5L spend criteria

No chance you can justify the fee at 12 LPA annual spend. It is primarily a travel card because you can only use the earned points on travel. Don't bother paying 35400 unless you spend 6-8 LPA on travel (flights and hotels).

Get an LTF Magnus (plain) with it, you would be better off compared to the Regalia setup.

M4b was very useful when accor transfer was very good. It's useful now also for big spend once or twice a yr.

I have the M4B for the last few years. My two cents. Only get this card if you have atleast 2/3 months plus of AEP spends. I also use the axis travel portal to book flights maybe twice a year. Thats a great multiplier there too. Plus the 4 yearly meet and greet for the airport is a great value add. Under 12L a year its not advisable to get a card costing you 35k a year. However at 12L all spent on this would yield you around 72k points. Transfered to SQ can easily get almost 2 return tickets to singapore.

Spending 35K cash to get 72K points worth 58K INR, that can only be transferred to selected flight partners and you hope for award inventory. What maths is this bro.

How exactly and why would you think it makes any sense for such spends?
It doesn't.
