low temperature
the weather in the uk is finally deciding it wants to be cold which i like, but its not good for my crestie.
the temperatures can drop as low as 64F in the night and sometimes go up to 73F max. i have the heat lamp on from 8AM through to 10PM now as its so cold for her. i also have uvb on for around 7-9 hours a day now so she can get some extra heat.
even with heating on in the house, its still too cold for her and im not sure what to do especially at night.
is there anything else i can do? should i get a CHE?

Definitely recommend ceramic heat bulb so you can run it day and night with no light, thermostat is essential so you don't overheat the tank. Swell Reptiles own-brand CHE's are pretty affordable and been reliable so far. I've got a 50W one that does a good job of keeping my 18x18x36 viv between 23-25C at the top, and down to about 20C at the bottom, so a good temp gradient where my crestie can move around to be comfortable.
Only downside is it really dries things out, so you might need to do more regular light misting.

what is the wattage of the lamp you are using now? and do you have a dimming thermostat?
