He may be stressed from the new environment, especially since he probably feels watched haha 😄. Is there any othe decor or hides in the enclosure? They try to hide during the Dat and some of the night, coming out during dusk and dawn. I would give him some other good hiding spots if there aren't more already, and just let him be for the next week. But still give food on a regular schedule and mist 2 times daily. If you happen to see him out and about, you could SLOWLY try giving him food, it lets them get use to your scent faster, also if your gecko doesn't freak out, you could probably gently put your finger in front of his nose so he can smell you, I personally think it's adorable. Anyway, yea I'd just make sure he has more hides and to give him time and space. He's very pretty and congrats on the new gecko!
thank youu!! i’ve been wanting one for a minute now. i have a pretty small tank right now. trying to save up for a big one so i don’t need to buy more and more
I would get him some more plants, and I know you said your saving up for a bigger tank, but what kind of tank do you have currently and saving for? From what I can see, it looks like you have the type of tank that a leopard gecko would get. Crested geckos are arboreal, they like climbing and being higher up so tanks that are more vertical are highly recommended and are the best tanks for them. They are kinda Forrest dwelling gecko and they climb a lot so I would get him a lot more fake plants (that are not sharp or pokey) and plan to get a good tank, I can also include a photo of the type of tank you'll need if you'd like.
And none of this is a cut down on you! I was where you are at one point and I'm still learning how to best care for my gecko.
I have this photo of my tank, it's pretty small but I'm currently working on setting up a new one for my gecko.

I don’t think anything’s wrong. just take him out, mist him, maybe put a nice cotton or microfiber hand towel in there
make sure he’s hydrated and eating something the banana bug food
