Because socialism just means “bad” to her. She likes her Medicaid. How could it be socialism if it helps her?

We are all paying into it, that’s the point…. JFC

These are the people that say democrats arent safe for women and children. Then you point out some of the decisions and illegal activity done by this administration and they either say that's different or they refute the legitimacy of the information. Even when it's the president himself saying it.

u/AcidCatfish___ 3d ago

It's the same people that say they are "constitutionalists" but then want trump back for a third term.

2

u/Still-Living-3127 3d ago

That shit breaks my brain! It's always the people that say america first and have the big American flag on their truck that advocate for the most un-American shit ive ever heard.

2

u/AcidCatfish___ 3d ago

And they default to "oh well that's just your opinion." Like, no, it is a fact that a third term would be against the constitution. Whether or not they want a third term is irrelevant. If we allow government to break the law of the Constitution, if will inevitably lead to something happening that they won't like. The Constitution is our freedom that they claim to like so much.

"I paid into that"
Bitch, how do you think government programs work?

17

u/Contemplating_Prison 3d ago

Its always the same thing. They are fine with socialism they just dont want black and brown people to get it.

This has always been the issue in this country.

u/ExcuseAdept827 3d ago

What is with Americans walking around in things that say AMERICA this AMERICA that as if they’re fckn LOST or STUPID (or both… 🙄)

11

u/Great-Gas-6631 3d ago

Its just Faux patriotism, they can't actually support the country, so they'll just buy flags, clothing, decals, but thats the most they can do.

2

u/eggybread70 2d ago

I think they support some kind of idea they have of the country. When confronted with the reality of the country (eg the video above), that's where it all kind of falls down.

23

u/Still-Living-3127 3d ago

They are just doing you a favor by making it easier to identify the racist, prejudice and none critical thinkers

I don’t even like things at beach houses that remind you you’re at the beach

Yes I know it’s nicer at the beach. That’s why I’m here for the weekend instead of cleaning my garage. I don’t need a throw pillow to tell me that

1

u/Webbadeth 3d ago

Biggest beach rental pet peeve. I don’t need a constant reminder of where I am.

1

u/Odd-Adagio7080 3d ago

No self confidence and feel they have something to prove.

1

u/HoodieGalore 2d ago

They were forced to pledge allegiance to a flag, every day they went to school as a kid, because a bunch of white men needed everyone to prove they weren't disloyal commies or something. American flag worship is completely mental.

Every country has their own merch tf are you talking about

1

u/yaddiyadda_ 1d ago

Does every country have people who make that merch their entire personalities ? 🤔 Because it's weird.

19

u/bd2999 3d ago

The attempted mental gymnastics here. The I paid into it seems to totally ignore that even with universal healthcare everyone is paying into it with their taxes. So it is the same thing. And for the most part it is still younger healthier people paying for people that need more care, older people, it just lets everyone actually access care when they need it and fewer hoops. Plus is cheaper.

The whole socialism to control people is also pretty dumb because nobody can explain it when you ask. As you are paying for something you benefit from in the first place. The danger of government comes more from the people she supports than the other way.

“KEEP YOUR GOVERNMENT HANDS OFF MY MEDICARE!”

11

u/some1whosux 3d ago

Why do we have to be the dumbest country on earth?

8

u/littledonnyfund 3d ago

The hardest working thing in this picture is the drawstring trying to maintain a hold on that gullet

5

u/lookitdisguy 3d ago

You can pinpoint the moment she almost had it, but she never will cause they are completely lost and/or stupid.

5

Helps me? GOVERNMENT SERVICE!

Helps anyone else? SOCIALISM!

3

u/SoulShine_710 3d ago

You cannot fix stupidity even with duct tape

5

u/Great-Gas-6631 3d ago

This is what decades of propaganda gives you. Fullblown brainrot.

4

u/SnooWoofers7345 3d ago

Yeah we're fucked man. Way too big of a population is like that. And they turn up to vote time after time

3

u/Guygenius138 3d ago

She's so stupid it takes her an hour and a half to watch 60 minutes

1

u/ro536ud 3d ago

Omg 😆

3

u/tittysprinkles112 3d ago

Crazy how many of these people are old and on Medicare.

3

u/Uluru-Dreaming 2d ago

What is the issue with “socialism”? If you ask me, whatever the heck is currently passing as “capitalism” is just not fit for purpose.

3

u/phquewe 2d ago

It's only Socialism if someone else is getting it.

2

u/Cloudy_Retina 3d ago

"How dare you force me to think!"

2

u/Upper_Command1390 3d ago

He always finds the ones with the dumbest hats. Helps his case.

1

u/Fair_Quail8248 3d ago

Seems so. 🤣

2

u/Legitimate-Swimmer40 3d ago

It’s all socialism until you realise you need it.

2

u/Pika-thulu 3d ago

It's good for me but not to thee

2

u/Rare-Composer-9523 3d ago

Poor thing. It must suck to be so ignorant.

2

u/ottomaker1 3d ago

Stupid these people are just Stupid.

2

u/BrooklynRobot 3d ago

“So, since you support medicare, would you support medicare for all? Or is socialism only good if it isn’t universal?”

2

u/WolfThick 3d ago

Dim as a 10-cent light bulb!

2

u/fins_up_ 3d ago

These idiots vote every election. They don't know what they are voting for or why but they will vote regardless.

Democracy will die because of morons like this.

2

u/Adventurous-Back-102 3d ago

Translation: I love to see other people suffer, but for me to suffer? No that's just not fair.

2

u/Rare-Confusion-220 2d ago

Sometimes stupidity is a choice

2

u/Noparkingcombo 2d ago

How do I phrase this it’s a haves and have not mentally if universal healthcare where to go into effect the poor would use up all the resources she needs to survive so the government helping with her health is different then giving healthcare to everyone even those in her mind don’t deserve it like those criminals and evil doers

2

u/MadoneRider 2d ago

The stupid. It burns so freaking bad. Medicare (as a recipient) is the best thing since sliced bread.

2

u/paddybjnr 1d ago

Socialism such a boogeyman to so many of them and they don't even know why, just slogan repetition

2

u/SenseiT 19h ago

I think she just blew a gasket thinking it through.

u/RacerXrated 3d ago

I went to college for economics, and for a long time I was very against health care models like those in most of Europe, Canada, etc. based on what I learned in school. But with this quasi-market system we currently have, both the government and individuals pay more than in countries with socialized medicine. Healthcare in the US is a nightmare. If I must pay high taxes, I'd rather it go to that than wars nobody (except defense contractors) wants.

1

u/Artisan_HotDog 3d ago

I have a buddy that anytime you bring up universal healthcare he immediately says “but whose paying for this?” The guy has a pharmaceutical doctorate….. our friend that went to school with him argues for Universal healthcare all the time. I’ll let you take a guess at which one grew up poor and had to earn literally everything in their life and which one came from an upper class family. Same education btw, they met in college.

1

u/zka_75 2d ago

What I never get about it is the same people don't mind the police, the fire service, defense, etc all being "socialist".. why do they draw the line at healthcare, something we all need every bit as much as a fire service

1

u/AcidCatfish___ 3d ago

There's almost nothing I want to shop around for less than health insurance.

1

u/425565 3d ago

It would be nice if if we could elect a president who espouses the phrase "Make America THINK again".

1

u/Ornery-Practice9772 3d ago

🤣
fuckin seppos
yesterday i got a 2 month repeat script for my meds
it was $7.70

i pay into medicare, $275 per year.

1

u/Fair_Quail8248 3d ago

Ignorance is bliss. I don't really understand how people can look at maga people and say "yeah imma vote for that". 🤣

1

u/Mad-Habits 3d ago

the average American!

1

u/PossibleDiscipline90 3d ago

Correct me if I'm wrong, but even if you paid into ss and Medicare, I doubt you paid as much into it as ur getting back in benefits.

1

u/willnye2cool 3d ago

Yes. That's why we're about to hit a tipping point where both go bankrupt. They were designed with the idea that more young people would be born and be earning more on average.

Well birthrates stabilized after the babyboom and wages stagnated so the ponzi scheme is falling apart

1

u/Titi_nickname 3d ago

Just brilliant!!🤭

1

u/Carbonfe2 3d ago

This is the craziest thing about our Healthcare system. If you're of a certain age, suddenly it's perfectly acceptable to have socialized medicine. If you served in the military, you deserve socialized medicine.

Anyone else, you're on your own.

1

u/Nervous_Pudding_8182 3d ago

Warning, warning Will Robinson..

1

u/dellaterra9 13h ago

Unspoken is her belief that some people will be getting something they potentially do not deserve.

1

u/ClockwerkKaiser 3d ago

I am fully convinced democrats could get "Medicare for all" a bit more right wing support if they started saying "Medicare for all legal Americans" instead.

Literally door change anything about the bills themselves. Just call it that.

1

u/willnye2cool 3d ago

This unironically would work because it's a common maga lie that illegal immigrants are being given medicated and ssi.
