Critical Analysis & Discussion Where is our media headed? Interviewing AI Ram and Sita for an AI drama RRRR.
Iāve always had my issues with sloppy AI dramas, but watching one of the biggest media outlets making one, and even going on to āinterviewā these AI āactorsā has me flabbergasted, but not shocked. Our standard of journalism has deteriorated so much - itās concerning. Not only this, but this drama was deemed so consequential that the Maharashtra CM was invited to inaugurate it. No matter where we are in the political spectrum, I believe we can all agree that there are MULTIPLE very important issues going on in our country that deserve coverage. There was a time weād see journalists investigate corruption, social issues, food safety, etc. Anjana is one of the biggest journalists in this country, with an immense reach, and platform - itās disheartening to see this is how she chooses to use her platform and influence.

Isnāt this disrespectful to our religion?

Theyāre turned our faith into a joke. Also, just how many renditions of Ramayana do we need? Anyone picks up Ramayana and turns it into a sloppily made cringe fest - from Bollywood to now news channels with this AI slop.

At this point if you are part of a government establishment or related to it such as media etc then whatever you do with Hinduism is not disrespectful in the public eye. It was never about that anyways. All of these are manufactured outrage, generated for political benefit. Dont take respect or disrespect seriously.

Depends on whether you're a bootlicker to the ruling party or not. Everything is decided by that.

It's brainwashing.. Indian news is low level low standards like Saas Bahu Serials, and all be it right wing jokers or left or liberal all has contributed to this trash.

Ffs⦠but to this day, these news channels have the biggest reach, especially when it comes to being accessible to those who arenāt as educated, second to perhaps social media. All this feels like a psyop to distract people from real issues. Itās so disheartening that even the people in my house, like my grandparents, see absolutely no issue with this. All this is designed to desensitise people to the actual issues that impact us all.

Thatās why I changed the channel - who would willingly sit through this cringe fest? Also, that āSaar saaarā comment is so juvenile š Iām starting to see why your lot is laughed at and ridiculed. Also, isnāt regime change a part of the democratic exercise? Whatās so wrong with it?

u/Fun_Beautifully 11h ago
Regime change happens through elections in democracies and anyone can fight elections and change regime

And thatās exactly what people are fighting for? For their eligible votes to be counted?

And itās my freedom of expression to call out this cringe fest, and the deteriorating standard of journalism, the very purpose of this sub. How are you gonna come on a critical thinking sub, and deter someone from having a discussion?
