Elections & Democracy Actor imran khan has been issued a notice to leave INDIA by mumbai police. It reminds us the lala lajpat rai's expulsion from india in 1907.
Imran Khan openly supported the students and more importantly indian democracy. Now he is paying the price for his honesty. His upcoming comeback movie is facing a possible delay too.
On the other hand, in america, actors openly support the presidential candidate or openly criticise the govt. Taylor Swift openly supported kamala haris during the last election. While, india being a "mother of democracy" can't tolerate any opposition from an actor.
Only dictat0rs can do this. Yes, he isn't a citizen of india, but still he lives in india, he has worked here for his life, he is part of our society. He didn't do anything wrong except supporting students.
But this govt doesn't do anything against the bhakt overseas Indians, who spread propaganda all day. The people who support dictat0rs get impunity, while those who raise their voice get punished.

It is bad. But you cannot compare him with lala lajpat rai.

if you ever talk to a JNU leftist type you will realize they unironically think they are fighting for freedom. It's like talking to an actual schizophrenic not even kidding.

Govt should reduce budget for these type of institutions. And increase the budget for stem institutes.

Leftists wave around the constitution all day, maybe try reading it for a change?

u/Familiar-Goat1132 18h ago
He is not an Indian Citizen and he still participated the Protest. This is the reason why they told him to leave. It is all based on Laws in Constitution that Foriegner can't participate a Protest against the government.
You must have to be an Indian citizenship for Protest against government. It sounds odd but the action is based on what Constitution says

Bro, law says that gyanesh Kumar can't change the "form6", only cabinet do. But still gyanesh Kumar did. So pls don't come up with this b£llshit

u/buttershitter 18h ago
EC has all the right and accountability to change all the forms. Also read up before commenting he did. It did not change any form, the whole thing is misdirection. The form is existing form without any changes and there was additional documentation needed for which there was always an additional form. Nothing new was introduced.

LIAR.
Was made mandatory before the relevations from IE article came out

Read the article you linked. It is useless to argue the article itself clears it. The whole issue blown out of proportion. The additional documentation was part of SIR. It is not normally required during non SIR periods.

The article literally speaks of rolling back changes. And that isn't the only thing. The IE report and the following ECI clarification which was more of admission of guilt in a gaslighty way has exploded the problem. Opposition also demanded for machine readable list, which they only began to do after the newly started SSR(the usual process of updating voter lists)
Remember, you do not need SIR to update the lists. Usually, always happen before any elections.

What is the content of form 6 that makes it controversial?
1
u/SoyaPaneer001 Corporate Majdur🦮 18h ago
Demanding whether the new voters' direct relatives were part of SIR 2003,even in places where SIR hasn't happened yet
2
u/Extension-Past5069 18h ago
Under it, new applicants are required to furnish details linking themselves, their parents or grandparents to electoral rolls prepared during an earlier SIR.
Directly copied from the TOI article you shared
So form 6 is basically asking details regarding the parents of a voter right?

Yeah, which is now not mandated after this protests, especially in places where SIR is ongoing/ hasn't started yet. A change which the ECI had no rights to do, before being passed at the cabinet.

Bro share a link which shows that this requremnt has changed
Also what is the issue with furnishing basic details like parents who were previous voters

Bro share a link which shows that this requremnt has changed
Here..
In states where the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) has concluded, the additional declaration has been removed from the ECINET app and portal, as well as the respective Chief Electoral Officer portals. This means that applicants in states where SIR is over will only need to fill the regular statutory Form 6 to enrol as voters.
Was wrong. It was reverse. They stopped asking for details about parent's previous SIR status in the states where SIR is completed.
Also what is the issue with furnishing basic details like parents who were previous voters
That wasn't the only thing which was asked. Done in opaque, untransperant way. ECI wouldn't have reversed it, if they were as right as you make them to be.

Bro, only your dad can sleep with your mom na? If anyone else does so then it will not be correct. Similarly, only Indians can protest in india against indian government.

Doesn't make sense. Foreigners are not allowed to join political protests. Its in the terms of the visa.
