I'm honestly so excited for the GG show.
I love mockumentaries like The Office and American Vandal.

The guys that made American Vandal are the same ones making it

So this is definitely going to be a spiritual successor, which is great because I really miss American Vandal

So you’re saying it will be fun, entertaining, and generally awesome? Good.

Big fan of them not being afraid to be weird. Lanterns had me worried everything was gonna be “grounded” like the Snyderverse.

The intellectuals had their fun with Lanterns. Now it’s time for the goofballs to have some fun 🤓

I'm looking forward to Grodd the most. I can't really watch Clayface but I'll be watching Grodd from day one.

I hope we have clearly fake stories from grodd. Like we see him in present as a brutal feral killer but in his stories he's goofy and silly and wouldn't hurt a fly.

Life hasn’t been the same since The Brain filed for divorce from Monsieur Mullah…

If they're truly making him a guy in a suit like it's been suggested, I hope they still make him a full CGI realistic Gorilla when he appears in more serious projects, sorta like a change in the art style from one comic book to another.

I feel like it's kinda fun to follow a universe that tries out different genres just for the hell of it.

Really hoping for a “Harold” movie.
You know, the guy Batman keeps in the cave that fixes all his vehicles and shit who you never see?

I love how there is so much variety in the DCU. We are going from a grounded detective series, to body horror and then a Mockumentary

I'd love a horror flick with scarecrow in the lead. Like imagine the different kinds of horror routes and scenes they could make - it could literally be turned into horror all in one buffet

I actually prefer that they try different approaches even if they deal with a higher risk of flop. I'm excited for Clayface and the Grodd thing has potential to be a very fun way to expand the universe.

I’m very interested in the show, I appreciate them doing different styles between projects and a mockumentary superhero show is exactly what I wanted to see

They’re filming a Jimmy Olsen/Gorilla Grodd show (not in this gif). It’s not a complaint, it’s just a joke about Gorilla Grodd being a different vibe to Clayface.

So....did James Gunn forget he had it showing Gorilla Grodd working with that psycho Princess to destroy the world in Creature Commandos?

Was it Grodd? It’s been awhile but I thought it was his father or relative but like i said it’s been awhile
•
u/The_Redacted_Badger 11h ago
The scenes with Grodd in college are meant to be flashbacks/archive footage, so I doubt modern day Grodd is anything like that

I don't think he should make any superhero adaptations from any franchise just stick to making the Escape remake.

From horror movie to a dancing singing gorilla.......yay, I'm excited for clayface more now that Dini has put his stamp of approval on it but I don't give two shits about olsen and grodd, about as interesting to me as paint drying.
